Absolutely I remember when Lucasfilm was around; Rescue on Fractalus and Ballblazer were classics indeed. Koronis Rift was another favorite of mine, too... they actually tried being creative back then and it showed...
Nice video. I was wondering does the system play carts. Also do you build these to sell, and if you would or do how much would one like it cost. Thank you for your time.
Is it possible to use headphones or a stereo system for the audio? I wouldn't want to use just some tiny speakers for the great Pokey sounds. If you are going to 'modernize' the Atari experience this much, you might just use an emulator already, you are nine-tenths there.
How can you have an Atari and spoil the fun by using a Sega Megadrive/Genesis controller instead of an actual joystick? Those games weren't intended to be played with thumbs only, they were meant to involve your whole hand and wrist, making the experience immensely more intensive! What do you use for the display btw? I bet it's not CRT...
The best keyboard ever made is the Commodore Amiga 500 keyboard. I have not used the Atari 800(XL) keyboard though, so perhaps I'm wrong. Just knowing those 8-bit computers and their keyboards, I suspect the Atari 800(XL) keyboard (which I presume you used in that laptop) doesn't rise up to the Commodore Amiga 500 keyboard standard. Besides, even the C64 keyboard is pretty great already.. I hope to get myself an Atari 800XL so I can test this out though.
awsome i would buy one if i had the money

The C64, Amiga 500 and I think most of the Atarai-Line had at one point ALL the same Plug for a Joystick :-) Which was pretty cool
