This is AS ridiculous as the idea that Whales spontaneously appeared with blubbery coats... when in fact the most widely accepted reason for it is that it evolved at the same time as the shark 'Megalodon' by adapting to colder waters it was able to escape predation.

The same thing applies here to birds. Perhaps going into colder water and/or areas was to escape predation.

so when god created the earth there was snow?? or he knew man would sin and there would be snow, and created the ducks with this adaptation. So in essence god knew we would sin, and the earth would fall away from the paradise of eden and so thinking ahead of time he created ducks with this so they wouldnt suffer. @Phaseme0810 I'm sorry but this a perfect example of evolution and adaptation. If it were designed, why don't we have this feature? If its just a matter or blood vessels rearranged it should have been difficult to put in our bodies. How can you explain for the tail bone, the blind spot in our coronary vision, wisdom teeth that do not fit in our mouth, the windpipe and the digestive track sharing the same path? To only look at what is good with the design and ignore the flaws is blind.
