How the hell has he ever sold any records without Simon Cowell and the X-Got's talent-popstar-superstar propaganda machine. This stuff is not supposed to slip through the matrix...:-)
The RRHOF is a joke. It now epitomizes what Rock and Roll is NOT. It is of the moneymen, the "beautiful ones", and not the people who know in their hearts what the spirit of Rock and Roll means. Sadly and shamefully, it is for the publicity-seeking Donald Trumps-- not for the Jethro Tulls, the Ian Andersons, the Rory Gallaghers, and the Big Head Todds, who put their love into their music for their fans.... Rock on Ian--you're in my Hall of Fame.
An amazing man and an incredible musician and songwriter. He has been underappreciated and needs to be recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a body of work that is without a doubt as impressive as anyones who is currently being recognized. You`re telling me that the Stooges and Abba belong in Cleveland before Jethro Tull. WTF
Mmmm, sort of sad his voice is not what it was - but he has written great songs that we can still play and listen too. Beethoven lost his hearing but we can still listen to his music - and, thank God, we can still hear the original AND play Anderson's stuff ourselves...Just happy he wrote it for us - Thank you, Ian!
@guyosborn:what you say about his voice is right.I saw them 3 times in the last 15 years and sometimes I was thinking by myself:Ian, you can find a better singer .But I think he is a little bit to proud to do it that way.
I´m sorry that I give a command in this bad school english. I´m musician too, and I hope you´ll understand me:-)
And for sure even "Wondring aloud" is a song which we can play at every open fire and the ladies go with us after. :-)
I saw JT two summers ago. Ian Anderson's voice was much, much better than at this concert. Perhaps he had a bad night. (He can cancel a gig because he has a partially sore throat.) Personally, I miss his using his parlor sized Martin on this. He's playing a beautiful guitar, here, but it needs the deeper end of his Martin to be heard over that piano. (Might be the recording.)
Wow Great! 2 of my favorite songs from Aqualung!

I wish there was such a thing as home video cameras in the early 70's. We'd have some great video of that era too.
