I've seen and met gang members (dedicated and unlegitimate) who've styled bandanas in all sorts of ways. I've never heard of a specific gang technique to tying a bandana and if you stick to premade styles you won't be tresspassing on anyone.

If anyone's worried about attracting the wrong attention, the color is what you should be concerned with.
