dude plz i cant install i dont know where to find the folder of orbiter.exe and when i click install this yellow box comes out with steps but i dont understand plz reply i need help plz plz plz im begging
it makes me really angry when i see how unable and arbitrary you move the camera because you have no statial awareness. not only that you cant roll the camera, you also dont know how to make a spare-motion that goes around that problem. instead its just weird and weird and ANNOYING VIDEO ...
@GTElwood cant see that video it says it blocked :/ ( ive removed the dot bits ) the reason why im saying why did he do backflip was that in the umbilical doors there are camera's and when the ET seperates the cameras take pictures of the ET for some reason so if u backflip u aint gunna get pic's :)
@kirza94 I was aware that there a camera that films the ET release, just aside the feed lines, but the took photos/videos of the slow-falling ET. In the vid they are upside down, tail first and with all the stuff deployed, canadarm and obviously the payload bay doors.
The shuttle was over Terranova. (?)
Now i'm wondering how many orbits the ET do, before reentry, because the shuttle config and the location was too close to launch site.
@GTElwood well the shuttle launches the SRB's seperate and fall near KSC the ET seperates around mid atlantic or abit south of iceland then the ET re enters around the Indian Ocean and the door's are open around europe because the Ku- antenna has to be deployed befor its first orbit so it can be in range befor KSC on its first orbit ( the KU- attenta is inside the payload ) :) sorry about spelling :)
@kirza94 Actualy the orbiter does turn over so the crew can film the ET as it falls away from the shuttle, but as for a backflip I dont know if thats the exact manuver they use or not.
@bwd81977 yea i knew the orbiter "turns" so the crew can record the ET falling away but only after the umbilical doors on the shuttle take pictures first then it turns up side down to see the ET , and they dont do a backflip for ET fall away th only times they "backflip" is when they are under the ISS and after de orbit burn to go to prograde
@XdexlexyaX what do you mean the right angle ?, the shuttle releases the ET at around 28* he did that correctly but the thing he did wrong was doing a back flip after the release. Again the shuttle only back flips 2 times a mission and one of them aren't at the ET separation.
@kirza94 I'm not a scientist but when they say " go for the plus x, go for the pitch", it has something to do with flipping the shuttle as depicted here to take pictures of the external tank.
@Bofarrow2 The shuttle only ever flips during its peek show at the ISS and before re entry the "go for pitch" means go for angle to realse external tank which is 27* i believe.
Cool Vid, I am a Great fan of Orbiter, I'll keep this short since most of my posts get deleted for being too long and considered Spam.
How did you Record it?? I really would like to know, I too would like to share my Space Adventures with others, thanks for the Video, I rated a 5, just for being about Orbiter. Nice Music too, what's it from?

whats with the back flip after the ET separates ?? the only time the shuttle back flips is when is coming close to the ISS for docking ,

Time to investigate a bit further. :D

How do you get into orbit and stay? Cuz i always fall after a while, even at 300km.
lapierresucks 2 years ago
You had to make an OMS firing to circularize the orbit.
If you wish to learn how thing works, there is a nice ebook.
"Go Play in Space" from Bruce Irving, i learn a lot with this one, it's free, just google for it.

how do u activate the OMS Firing?
footballman007 2 years ago
After the launch you are in a ballistic trajectory, the same as a cannonball, (the ET you know.. falls in the Indian Ocean)
I turn on the MFD that shows the Earth Profile and my actual orbital path.
When i'm closer to the apogee, i fire the OMS (prograde obviously) since i 'raise' the perigee of my orbit, looking the 'ECC' value, eccentricity.
Now there is an addon that works as the real one, with a 1:1 keypad.
Many tasks are automated, attitude control, oms firing, like the real one.

ohh, this vid is old, i mean, i did it just one or two month after the STS114 mission, the first post-Columbia.
Now Orbiter got great 3d models and textures, but my fav. still the Deltaglider with an additional panel.
Music is from Apollo 13 Movie, James Horner.
Custom soundpack, but lol, the radar sample is the 2001 a Space Odyssey proximity sound.
Chat is from STS114 ascent.
