  • That thing sounds great.

  • love the sound!

  • does it have a build link or smth? i want to know what you did with the oil

  • Sounds goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!

  • I sold my T2 FC and had to stay Mazda.... So I got a NA (miata) yay. Zoom-Zoom!

  • I miss my ze 626 :(

Been trying to find a 95 es 5 speed but can't seem to track one down, mines was green...

  • @mrbrg would you think a this v6 and twin turbo (smaller ones ; havnt decided yet) would fit in the engine bay?

  • now if only mazda made a special edition with a kl-ze and a true dual exhaust, NOBODY would fuck with it, and the weight balance would be very close to a 4-banger

  • Awesome engine noise. Now that is a miata

  • that sounds great!

  • Sounds great! Throw some ITB's or a turbo on there.

  • turbo?

  • That little thing is just begging for a "quaife" 5-speed, sequential gear-box. Awsome car!

  • What is it? An MX-5 with a Mazda V6 engine? From an MX-3?

    In any case, lovely sound....

  • @alernest MX-3, MX-6, Ford Probe... The list goes on, and it could either be the DE, or the ZE, and yes, I do know that it is KLDE and KLZE. I think there's a KLG4 and other variants that I don't know on the top of my head.

But anyways, Nice miata. The sound of a KL+RWD+Torque of V6=Win

  • na motors rule.... thing looks like a blast to drive

  • so what kind of motor is it? the klze or klde?

  • sound nice car klze v6 good motor show mod

  • also, nice to see handling doesn't suffer

  • v6 sounds beautiful

  • i thought the KL was a transverse-mounted motor, like an FWD setup. Miata's are RWD, how'd he do it?

  • turned it 90 degree's counter clockwise.

  • RX-7 transmission, if I'm not mistaken...

  • @RangelSotero IIRC it's the original transmission and rear end. They are good to about 400hp depending on the clutch.

  • @JD0x0 Oh, I see it. I misunderstood when he said about the gearbox in that video.

When he said about the stock gearbox, I thought it was from the RX-7, but he's using only the bell housing and the flywheel from the Wankel model :P

Thank you for the explanation :D

  • freaking awesome miata!!! gotta love the v6 engine and the hp/torque that came with it.

  • Sounds sooo good. What are the throttle bodies from?

  • i believe from a GSXR 1000

  • The engine was a Mazda/Suzuki development. Suzuki has applied V6's with North/South orientation. Might this be the best source of oilpan, intake and accessories for RWD adaptation? I'm with Barbados, sounds amazing - like an Alfa!!!

  • no totally different engine, despite what wiki says

  • Sounds absolutely amazing.... where can i get more info

  • google "joyful noise racing" and his site should come up as the first listing. part of the great sound is the ITBs he has on it. simply amazing

  • I have a 1990 Mazda Miata and would like to do the same swap. Do you have any pics? Prices? I would like a 300hp KLZE V6.

  • I cant find any info on this swap any place im looking to build this miata and an all motor H/C irtb powered miata sounds like a plan anyone know anything??

  • BADASS!!! Is that bremerton at the end? i miss WA :(

  • The engine is running ITB's

  • From what car or bike did that engine come? It sounds awesome!

  • He got the V6 from the Japanese spec MX-6. it is a V6 originally designed for front drive applications, but in stock form produces 200 HP.

  • did he really use the KLZE, the only pics i saw showed the ASPEC which is about 40HP short of that 200HP KLZE

  • no he used a DE, low lift cams , low compression

  • no, he used a stock DE with KLZE (or whatever its called) pistons, putting out 181 at 7000rpms

  • @partyboy41 tell him to put the cams of the ze it will give him a lil more, and do port jobs on the heads

  • how did you get around the oil starvation probles, they do suffer with this when installed for and aft as the pickups are in the wrong places for this setup.

although, the engine is capable of running over 1200bhp (when turbo-charged) and over 10,000rpm..... stick that in your pipe and smoke it mr Honda..lol

  • i think on his dyno he put out 180+hp plus more torque than that NA I4 miata motor could put out. that is an awesome autox car

  • I agree it does look alittle slow, but you gotta understand the Aluminum V6 has more torque and more horsepower than the stock Cast Iron inline 4 and its lighter. so if you were to drive a stock one and then drive his, i bet you'd notice a big diff.

    nice job dude!

  • Sounds good, still looks slow.

  • gsxr itbs...mmm good job man

thi sixxer must be a blast

  • It's ok, but only someone from Barbados would find this "amazing".

  • omg that sounds so amazing!!!
