  • @UNDENATUREDisaword If only that were true. I assume only open to US resident. :p

  • i like <3

  • I agree with those who laud the astonishing clarity and detail in her playing, as well as her extraordinarly sensitive and perfectly timed rubato, all of which is so brilliantly characteristic of the Russian school. This is only the fourth piece I've heard her play so far and I'm already looking forward to her future concerts and recordings. Among female pianists, she is now right up there with my favorite, including Helene Grimaud. Perhaps they might try out the Rachmaninoff two-piano suites.

  • great, hope she gets a great debut night.

  • ps, *catcall* *whistle* hehe sorry had to do it

  • I agree with the people who said it was too dry and too clean. it's Chopin, it needs that heavy (emo!) feel, so when the beautiful notes rise out of the mist, they are sparkling.. every note was too sparkling *__*

  • @blupomodoro yeah I think it's a matter of the level of attention one devotes at the time. your heart has to be into it, which is of course a complicated matter, mind you. It's not how I would have interpreted it but commendable talent never the less. I haven't played the piano in a long while but I find that with the latest tool I am learning, the more you investigate, the better you get

  • the amazing part of being a pianist is that you have to move your fingers like jello and learn to have a amazing posture and also go with the movement of the music. Lola plays this piece so eloquently and is very mesmerizing at the same time I have always wanted to learn to play the piano so she is very talented because Chopin is very challenging Way to go Lola !!!

  • I think Chopin if he never had a short life span he would probable become one of the most famous musician of all time. Imagine making an orchestra, She does chopin very excellent, I never seen some one who make it look so easy.

  • When she's playing, her fingers seem to just be fluid and simply gently pressing down on the keys..... THAT, Is amazing

  • she is the best composer ever BETTER THAN BEETHOVEN,MOZART, AND EVEN BACH!!!!

  • @Edenabernethy She didn't write the piece, Chopin did.

  • @PianoHero1994 oh.....yeah

  • Check her gallery!!! lola astanova dot com

  • I imagine this is how Chopin himself would have played this piece. After all, he did love rubato and he was the master of it! Beautiful performance Lola! :D.

  • not only is lola a 12+ in the beauty category,,,,,but throw piano playing where mozart would bow down to her,,,,add another 5 points to lola,,,,shes as beautiful as her music is,,,,,amazing what god can create

  • The ending...perfection. Clearly articulated notes for once that I rarely hear in this Impromptu. Incredible.

  • She makes this piece sound so dark! It's a lovely contrast to the usual happy/mysterious rendition.

  • Vot eto da... Ya obozhayu prosto obazhayu Pianino... takoi talant!! zhelayu vsego samogo luchshego!!! Chudo :)

  • damn girl

  • This is my favorite piano piece of all time. I think this is the best I've ever seen it played.

  • 3:22 wtf?

  • Awesome! Keep up the good work Lola by letting your talent shine!

  • Sounds like you are ready. Best of luck with your debut at Carnegie. You will rock the house.

  • beautiful, you make it looks so easy. I know you have had many years of hard work and it has payed off. You are beautiful and your playing is magnificent

  • Beautiful! Very well played!

  • i can't believe how amazing you are!!!!! i'm blown away!!!

  • she has the technique but no music.

  • O god .. I'm so happy because i can play pink panther XD

  • I don't really like this interpretation of the piece... Even though she plays it fluently enough and you can tell that she knows what she is doing, the changes in the rhythm that she decided to give (in the faster part) is not what I would expect and in my opinion it does not give the appropriate feeling.. Its a bit too much...

  • i play piano but i could only dream of being this good this song that she plays is so amazing ive heard different versions but hers is just amazing and mesmorizing

  • ok, marry me?

  • i must increase the speed of my chromatic scales, any tips?

  • I can play this with my eyes closed.

  • now thats what i call a pianist xD

  • I used to be pretty good at the piano (I've been playing for about 10 years) and recently stopped practicing because of college and such. I used to watch your video all the time and coming back to these videos reminds me why I love the instrument so much. Thank you for playing Lola.

  • Man she loves that piano, and DAMN is she talented.

  • From the side she looks a bit like Nina Dobrev. ;)

  • No talent assclown Justin Beiber gets 300 million views, yet this beautiful, talented artist who runs circles around him only has 146K. This can only mean 90% of the world is retarded

  • @hippoears Actually 97 % ....at least if people not listening actively to classical music (no source to back me up) is what defines a retard

  • @hippoears Yes, hippo ears, Your ears are very attentive. 80 or 90 percent of the world will never know a good steak when it has one, or a good or sadly, a good pianist when it hears one, nor do they care. They wouldn't know Franz Liszt from Bugs Bunny. Unfortunate, but only a few of us have good ears and good taste. Enjoy in good health what few will ever enjoy.

  • @hippoears more like 99,9% unfortunately

  • @hippoears finally somebody talking sense,

I just watched a few of her videos, even the rihanna one....must say just one word....SHE is amazing, see the rihanna song i bet for her was a piece of cake, because at the end, she can do so well chopin you think rihanna a problem??

lol, this lady is so talented she draws with notes.

On the first video I taught the first 5 sec she started to play that it was fast forwarded....lol...it's her actual speed...lol...amazing

    AWESOME LOLA!

  • @hippoears But yeah....it's obvious how peps today don't really recognize talents like this one as much as other NON talented.....without saying the J. Bei.................ehm.... name....

  • @hippoears bulls-eye, Sir. I'd daresay the margin of imbecility surpassess your number.

  • @hippoears you are wrong my friend. 99% of the world is retarded ;)

  • Ahhh, another beauty of the world that's utterly out of my league - alright God, why don't you just drop this whole "mysterious ways" thing and be up front about whatever it was that did I to make you angry!

    That said ... amazing performance.

  • Отлечно Лола, привет з ирландия ;)

  • Perfect pedal work, outstanding, every other pianist rushed the damn pedal

  • Damn how much I want to have a Steinway grand piano in my home, it's resonance...

  • hmmmm.... this is good, but it's too choppy and a bit too fast in the beginning and during some of the arpegio's. but, otherwise fantastic. :) keep it up!

  • So talented and so charming!

  • Comment removed

  • Farting @1:12 ?

  • Who cares about her ass....but dat Steinway is super sexy.

  • Your playing is for real. This should not be a speed-at-all-costs piece, the way many play it nowadays. Your version is poetic.

  • If Chopin could hear you, he falls in love for sure!

  • Notice how the pianist refuses the modern interpretation to convert the piece into a racetrack. That's not easy. All the notes are exposed so the uniform technique you hear coupled with her musicianship is really hard to achieve. Keep in mind too that this is an Impromptu. It means just that. I was disappointed to read comments about tempos and rubatos. Spontaneity must enter an impromptu or it's something else.

  • she's smokin hot too

  • Wow ! ! !

  • Take a look at her fingers.. wow o.o

  • You are great...

  • 3:03 haha wtf

  • @Saphirr24 she do what she want

  • @linkdeas3 What? I saying ment to say "wtf that is so crazy the speed she plays it!" Lola is an incredible pianist ;)

  • @linkdeas3 its ossia version

  • I wonder if she plays the piano by sound or by feel :?

  • esta buena la tia!!

  • You should take a stab at Chopin's Polanaise! I think you'd play it like you wrote it

  • REALLY AWESOME, AWESOME SKILL, AWESOME STEINYWAY PIANO, AND AWESOME SONG :D

  • Very nice ! :D

  • Class with a capital C. Very appreciative that there are still women such as this in the world.

  • I think she should be an X rate movie star or a night club hostess rather than a pianist. At least the way she dresses is suggesting that. Yeah.....she's hot...hot...hot... too hot to touch.....may burn your hands....

  • @mightybruce131 wtf is wrong with you shes not dressed slutty or acting like a whore have some respect

  • she must've been one of those chick that had a piano in her crib as a baby...she must eat sleep and drink piano...how else could she be that good??

  • Omg I love the ornamentations you added in the slow part :D

  • This is one of my favorites of Chopin's work. You played it beautifully :)

  • She's imaginative and daring, love the liberties-Was very pleasantry surprised-don't let the Valley Girl look fool you

  • Good performance!

  • OMG!! STEINWAY!!!!

  • How long do you have to practice to play this ?

I play piano for 7 years, but haven't practiced for 2 years already :-/

  • @yankarushkausa : everyone's different, but between 7 and 15 years of lesson would be a safe bet. And, most piano students will never play this well, no matter how long they practice. I got close to this level when I was 17-yo after 9 years of lessons, but not quite.

  • @robertkj8849 Yeah, I think so too.... It's really hard to learn it, it's not just you have to read the notes & play it, you have to practice for a long time to play something like that.....

I play by ear, but i'm not so good in a technic way :-(

  • @robertkj8849 I can play it.. not 100% perfect but...pretty solid at 1 1/2 years of playing and 2 lessons. o-o

  • @magus5200 1 1/2 of playing piano.. or playing this piece?

  • ...she actually matches her outfit and makeup...does a whole freaking makeover...to fit the mood of the piano piece...makes me think I should augment my eyelashes and do some shadow for my piano videos...and I am a guy, and not even gay...

  • I loved playing this song, its always been my favorite.

Good job, just remember what song you're playing.

  • Time to pick my jaw up from the ground now.

  • great playing, hot chick but still i prefer other interpretations of this piece

  • 1:16 assssssssss......

  • Wow

  • @attacus18 that's what i was going to say

  • why the hell did anyone dislike this?!

  • @balladsalad Because they are jealous.. Is that how you spell it?

  • I wish I could play the piano as well as her! She is now my hero (:

  • very passionate, well done. do you have pdf of sheet music?

  • @x8lilplaya Search IMSLP, you'll definitely find the pdf there

  • Comment removed

  • that piano needs to be worked in

  • beautiful!!!

  • Good work. I don't like this interpretation too much because there are too much pause between the measures. Just personal preference I guess

  • Lola, where did you study the piano and you're probably studying it now as well? You're very talented, you probably know it.

  • @georgiy88uiuc2013 V. Uspensky Specialized School of Music for Gifted Children she also took lessons from Professor Lev Naumov from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory

  • Так и сумею.... Сыграй-ка лучше Мурку)))))

  • you are playing it too strong, you may play it softly. by the way, you play it awesome!

  • How long did it take you to finish it?

    Wonderful by the way!

  • Лучшее исполнение

  • I will give you a million pianos for a lesson.

  • wow ! i love your timing, it's very playfull. you make it your own fantaisie impromptu, and are really telling a story with the music. BRAVA

  • the woman of my dreams

  • es increible como me gustaria tocar asi.. he

  • She's hot and a brilliant pianist. Screw you, genetics.

  • BRAVA!!!

  • i wonder iin the bed can her hands plays that fast

  • Amazing!!

  • interesting!.but....The first phrase is "cuted", like a silent?. I like the expression of the second theme!! thanks.

  • Wow, simply amazing. I being a musician/Pianist since birth can say you are talented. I wished I could play like that.

  • I would like to be that piano

  • I listen for the music, but if her sex appeal draws a younger crowd into classical music, I think that's great. It may just inspire some of these kids into playing an instrument. At the very least, bring them away from Justin Bieber for a moment. :)

  • This is so clean. When I play this too many notes get held together in a nasty mush of sorts by the damper pedal. Props for such accuracy and emotion

  • @integralhero Me too!! Maybe our pianos just suck :P haha

  • @integralhero Me too! Maybe our pianos just suck :P haha

  • You're soo beautiful! O.O

    Otherwise your playin' too..:P

  • this piece is almost as hot as she is.

  • playing the piano like that makes her that much hotter.

  • really she is just amazing to be able to play such a piece like this. she must have practiced this for some time and deserves praise. btw, learning maria carey over this is something only a person with no true appreciation for this piece would do. maria carey isn't even that good. bravo Lola Astanova, bravo.

  • has to be the best piano player in the world not to mention the prettiest..!!!!

  • wow lovely!!!!!!!! i really hope to play like that someday!!!!! i really hope to go to juilliard someday. did you??? if you didnt you really shouldve gone cuz ur an AMAZING player!!!!!!!!

  • your really good at piano. but this is not a very good piece. i play piano too. i am learning without you by mariah carey right now

  • @thestephie120

You say that the Fantasie Impromptu is not a very good piece and then mention that you are learning a Mariah Carey song... Oh dear.

  • @C12Joshua hahahahahahaa!

  • @thestephie120 ha ha ha not a good piece of music? are you mad? its one of the bets pieces of music ever written!! You would rather learn Maria Carey than Chopin???

  • 3:03 WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?!?! LOL THATS NOT IN MY SCRIPTURE

  • wauw

  • !!!!!!

  • she is hot and she is good at the piano

  • Brilliant! I think this is a brilliant interpretation.

Even more respect due to the steinway, it sounds great.

  • grr makes me made, the fontana version. Original ftw (just cause it's the one i learned ;p)

  • Damn!

  • Very interesting interpretation

  • she's hot and definetly plays awesome!!

  • @XavifromSeville She is Russian =)

  • Amazing!!

  • te amo lola!!!

  • Im in love

  • Congratulations, Lola! The best Fantasie Impromptu's performance I've seen. I play the piano too and I hope to play as good as you someday. Are you a teacher or just a concertist? Greetings and success!

  • de ladie looks good for da men. an she play piano too, dat's sweet.

  • Well done. Made so many aspects of the piece that could sound repetitious sound very interesting. For all the negative slack this piece gets (being too "easy" etc, in fact even Chopin himself I believe ended up not really respecting this piece after having written it), it always to me sounds truly amazing and is one of my favorites to listen to. :)

  • @ullerichj

Too easy?? Wow I have a long way to go LOL

  • This is my favorite piece of yours. =)

  • ...@anonymousQ45 sorry I'm on a touch screen, put it with RH theme from Coda. I'm not asking for a video post just wanted to share

  • Lola just for fun take the left hand accompaniment in the second theme and put it with RH the and put it wil

  • When I first saw her, I thought, "mediocre pianist dressed all sexy just to get attention. Probably even a made-up name."

I was wrong. Everything I've heard from her has been VERY good! :)

  • awesome :)

  • Beautiful. And the music is nice too.

  • if chopin saw you playing the piano, he would be pretty happy,

  • @PanAzreal I agree. Her interpretation is very interesting indeed! I think I still prefer it done the way, I believe, Chopin would've intended though: Romantic with
