  • Will LED Jeep lights work if I install them on my 2000 Jeep GC, or do I have to upgrade any parts for it to work? I'm just worried they will be to powerful for the stock Jeep lighting system. Please, let me know! Thanks!

  • @connormkoren We carry the direct replacement lights for your Jeep Grand Cherokee on our website 1aauto.com They manufacturer of the aftermarket LED lights should inform you of any wiring upgrades that might need to be done to install their product.

  • Hey i have a 97 grand cherokee do i use the same size still ?

  • @Xlife93 Yes the lights are the same size for the 99-04 Grand Cherokee.

  • Thanks...i should have looked this up earlier because I spent over an hour replacing the passenger side lamps by removing the battery, tray, and fuse block to get my hand in there. I was cussing the whole time and my wrist still hurts. Now i know. Great info, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

  • @williamdexterguppy Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel.

  • Hi Randy and staff, appreciate you responding to question of do you have video installing an replacing headlight on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport? Appreciate instructions you gave. Talked to mechanic,he said if I purchase headlight from you he will install it.He spoke very high of your company. How do I purchase a headlight for 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport AND also need right side black front bumper rim.Its the black curved piece thats on front of bumper of car.Look forward to your response.Thank-you!

  • @msthanku1 HI here's a link to the headlights that we carry for your 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport on our website 1aauto.com ;We currently do not carry the bumper piece that you were looking for. 1aauto.com/1A/HeadLights/Jeep/Cherokee/-/-/1996

  • LOVED THIS VIDEO..BUT I HAVE A 1996 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT/HEADLIGHT THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED...NOT JUST THE BULB ALONE RANDY, I NEED INSTRUCTIONS ON REPLACING THE WHOLE THING LIKE YOUR DOING ON THE GRAND CHEROKEE...PLEASE RESPOND...I THINK YOUR AWESOME.

  • @msthanku1 HI, We currently do not have a repair video that shows you how to do this on a 1996 Jeep Sport. However you should be able to access the bolts by lifting up the tailgate and removing the bolts that hold the taillight in place. There should be four of them, one at the top one at the bottom and two on the sides. Hope this helps you out.

  • Randy, I can’t thank you enough for this video, now I don’t have to give up driving at night. I replaced my headlights today and I kept thinking “It can’t be this easy.” But it was, and they didn’t fall out when I slammed the hood shut. If not for your video I wouldn’t have dared to pull really hard on the old headlights to get them out, because I wouldn’t have known those studs were holding them in. I didn’t realize how much light the old frosted lenses were cutting out.

  • @V1nn1espal Thank you for checking out our 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee headlight replacement video.Have a great day!

  • Looks easier then I thought to take out the headlights... I want to clean up my dads headlights but it looks like the cloudiness is inside the headlight itself, not on the outside unfortunately.

  • @mitsuninja They're pretty easy to replace. Here's a link to them on our website.

  • Why not just restore the headlights?

  • @xXEDWIINXx The headlight restore is a temporary fix. It will work for 6-8 months then the cloudyness will come back. What happenes is the plastic in the lens itself degrades over time and causes them to turn cloudy or yellow.

  • Hello i have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee red and the bumper is awfully grey pale

can it be painted black i herd there is a way that it wont strip

    thanks

  • @manonhill12 If you go to your local auto body supply store they can recommend a paint to paint them that will bite into the plastic. I've seen some guys in Jeep forums on the internet do this to the 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee's with some really good results. It really cleans up the truck.

    Hope this helps.

  • Nice job

  • I really like all your videos. I think you give an easy, straight forward approach to fixing things on your vehicle without a lot of technical jargon we can't understand. I have used several of your videos to help with repairs on my vehicle. Thanks for the cool vids.

  • thank you very much for all of your help

  • Awesome video, thanks man. I just replaced my headlights today after seeing this video. You did a great job and helped me a lot.

  • my headlight assembly came with the new bubls, new wires, but i dont know how to get to main plug socket to unplug it. it look like you have to remove the grill to get to it. do you know how to do it? thanks.

  • Great video sir! Helped me out when installing my new halos on the jeep

  • Thanks for the instructional video, much better than paper instructions. Keep up the good work and if i ever need more cherokee parts i know where to go! =D

  • Awesome!!!

Third video I've watched and had success with.

Bought all the parts from their website. Perfect fit every time.

  • Thanks so much for this post!! I had been trying to remove the headlight assembly. for about an hour CAREFULLY thinking I might break something, wondering what was holding the assembly in place. After watching this video I was able to change out both headlights in about 10 minutes with no problems. thanks again sir.

  • @dwarttisproctor Thank you for checking out our videos. We carry a great deal of replacement parts for your Jeep Grand Cherokee on our website 1aauto.com we offer free shipping too.

  • Nice work man - keep it up! Your instructions were perfect and this saved me a ton of time. Thanks!

  • Hi can you show how to replace the bulbs in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Sometimes the headlight assembly kit is fine, but you just want to change the bulbs. Both high and low beams. Thanks!

  • @Mia007100 You should ba able to twist the bulb out on the backside of the headlight housing.

  • Thanks so much for this video! Even though I'm a classic chick that knows nothing of cars I feel confident enough to do this myself (I have the same jeep & year)...provided I have my iPad next to me the entire time displaying your detailed video! - East NY, Brooklyn! :-)

  • @Mia007100 Thanks for checking us out.

  • Thanks for the great video, i'm about to go install my new headlights!

  • @clownfish710 Thank you for watching.

  • Hi, thank you so much for the video. Being the typical girl that doesn't work on cars, I did it! I know what site to come back to the next time I need some instructions on my car. Keep up the great work!

  • @27CrazzyChick27 Thanks for checking us out. We carry a huge selection of parts for your Jeep at 1aauto.com

  • Thank you so much for a very clear and easy video to follow. I just replaced both my headlamp assemblies in less than 10 minutes time, and indeed all that was needed was a 7mm driver, a large flat head screwdriver and some WD40. Great job, thanks again!

  • Did this job today -- two problems

    1. Used a bit too much force to wiggle the furst head lam free and snapped 1 of the three little plastic connectors where the studs "plug" into. Can I buy these somewhere ?

    2. The Head lamp replacements came with all new wiring and bulbs but I could not get to the harness connector to replace the old wiring harness set up.

Is there a procedure on how to get to that connector ? I tried taking off the grill w/o success.

    Thanks again for this video...

  • @spaberlejr 1. Probably your jeep dealer is the best place to get the clip. 2. Youdo not have to use the new harness just unplug it from the light and plug your original harness in to the new light.

  • Thanks a lot! It's easy if you know what to do!

  • You guys are the best !! The purchase of my headlights was extremely easy and fast and this video is a real bonus. You should offer the video during the purchase.

  • Great help!

I had no idea where to start...

The video is clear, precise and showed exactly what needed to be done and the proper tools for the job. You have saved me time and money and for that I'm very grateful. Keep up the good work!

  • GOOD GOD!! I'm so glad I looked this up.. I could not figure out why they weren't coming out and I almost took off the fukn bumper and radiator.. For 3 hours I was stumped and had my damn Grandma trying to figure it out to....I would hate to see mankind 10 years ago without the internet trying to do this without putting a gun to their head and breaking everything under the hood.. All I needed to do was take that long bolt out and PULL!!!....GEEEEEEEEEEZ!!!!,

  • thanks for the instructions, very helpful

  • thank you SO much, I love my 99jeep and want to maintain the 'little' things myself, this was a huge help you have a new fan and a new customer!

  • Great Video...really enjoyed it.

  • great help...thank you so much....

  • Thank you, sir. I thought this was going to be a really tough job. Now if I can only find a video on replacing the pitman arm, lol. Thanks again.

  • @zachklepper I'll put the pitman arm down as a future video request!

  • nice job man, you remind me of one of my buddies!

now if you will excuse me, i have a headlight to replace!

  • This is literally making me want to keep a Jeep thinking there is someone considerate enough to make a video like this. I have had issues with now two window regulators as of recent. Thank you much,

  • don't pry your fingers!!

    thanks for the help!

  • Im a poor broke college student. I could barely afford the lights let alone paying someone to install them. This helped a ton!!! Thanks!!!
