The uk Police are amongst the most tollerant police in the world. Most of the "protesters" that you see covered in blood claiming police brutality tend to be angry young men looking for an excuse to experience a riot.
The reason police are so rough is because of how few of them there are and how many protesters are there. If a riot breaks out they're dead. Also you have 8 of the worlds most powerful people. It is a huge terrorist target. I am not saying cops can't be rough but if you keep your're tone down and respect their authority over you you won't get your head smashed in.
