  • That's a super nice keyboard. I just saw one on ebay and I'm seriously thinking about bidding on it.

  • are you boy or girl ? god damn

  • @mist3rF4NG boy

  • I hope Das keyboard will have Finnish layout someday.. I would buy instantly 5

  • DAS is THAT in german... just saying...

  • Is that supposed to be for left handed people? kind of strange to see the number pad and other buttons on the left.

  • @GotenSSJ1 I think that the entire video is flipped. Look at the DasKeyboard logo (It is backwards/ flipped about).

  • All the way from Germany? I think you mean all the way from Austin, Texas.

  • NERD!

  • @TheAliceParty Neato I will have to check those out!

  • @TheAliceParty Thank you kindly!

  • Your so hot baby do u wanna play Quake?

  • Great review! Unicomp makes great keyboards as well.. clones of the Model M with optional mods.

  • y this has so many dislikes?

  • Well, prefer my keyboear, wich is WIRELESS nd it does not have a cord wich i think, in my opinion is better ..........

  • I am guessing all the downvoters are hunt and peck typists? :-)

  • Mom: "I need to use your comput--nevermind."

  • aand its al clickyyyyy

  • I'm about to buy a Das Keyboard but i'm unsure if clicky (regular) or silent. How loud is the clicking?

There are a lot of videos on yt but i can hear HOW it sounds, not how LOUD it sounds.

In case of night time typing, you might wake someone up (someone that sleeps in a room next yours, very thin doors) with the regular Das Keyboard?

  • i mean, i can write everything without looking.. but.. finding ex. F7 or maybe the *.. on my keyboard with closed eyes.. i would be in trouble..

  • Why, is that keyboard backwards? Is it some type of left handed keyboard because I'm a lefty and I find it easier to use a normal keyboard.

  • Comment removed

  • backlit

  • Question: why is the keyboard BACKWARDS!?

  • @JeemOfRunescape I dont think its backwards, it might be mirror-inverted because of the webcam she uses.

  • Left Handed????? Burn this Witch!

  • If you are in the US and bought it from their site.. it didnt ship to you from germany it shipped from texas

  • Are you a girl or a guy?

  • @WowKame A girl, you idiot.

  • why is the video mirrored? wtf

  • US version sucks with its "enter" key, check the european version and see how cool the "enter" key looks like. ;)

  • Sounds like Cherry Blue Key Switches, gives good Tactile/Audible feedback when typing..

  • are all das keyboards shipped in from germany?

  • Oh! Just read that fail :-( LOL

  • Why is this video inverted? :D

  • I own two DAS keyboards. I use one at home, and the other at work. This keyboard has done wonders for my typing speed. The clicking sound really helps you type faster and more consistently. The only substitute would be a metronome. The touch of the keys is very nice: Very smooth, very fast, none of that gummy feeling that some of the cheaper keyboards have. After using the DAS for a few hours, returning to a notebook keyboard is turture. :-(

  • @gmayer66 hahahaha XD i know the feeling XD

    Though times man :<

  • I really want one :(

  • is it just me or are there swastikas hanging over the door?

  • @declandinosaur just the one (Eastern position facing right)-- this was a decoration my friend gave me from India. The other symbols on it are an Ohm and Ganesh.

  • @renegade420 Is the usb cable braided. Also how does it feel typing. I have a mechnical keyboard but its a black key switch and the keys are uber heavy!

  • @declandinosaur They are not Nazi Swastikas.

  • @declandinosaur And the problem is?

    SIEG HEIL

    SIEG HEIL

  • @crowKAKAWWW LOL!

  • That's a left handed keyboard?

  • Thumbs up 'cause you know how to pronounce "das."

  • @Zoidberg227

not heavy if u can a little bit german :/

  • @Zoidberg227 it's actually pronounced "does". It says so on their website.

  • 2:37 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

  • I'm either getting one of these, or the Razer Black Widow Ultimate... no sound and no backlighting is a downside but I like the fact there is no lettering... touch choice!

Mechanical keyboards rule though, take care of it, don't eat near it and it will last you 20+ years (I actually have one nearly as old as I am that still works perfectly!)

  • to be honest what is the point of a blank keyboard to show off? i mean you won't remember all the keys every sinlge time right i mean the number keys and so on i don't see any point in this but to show off your keyboard skills

    still nice video

  • @taltigolt No, good sir. YOU will not remember all the keys every time.

  • @Bluheim2030 so you remember where every single key is right away like

    ([?

    etc etc

  • @taltigolt

    Option+5 and ALT+6 [ ], ger-mac layout, on us layouts its on ü+

    () are on shift+8 and shift+9

? is on ß and etc is on …

    Any more questions? Scnr.

So yeah, if you actually can type, you remember this stuff and a lot of special characters like … – ~ ain´t anyway on written on keyboards.

Still, if your typing eagle style (circle above, search, dive, hit and repeat …) this keyboard is not the right for you.

  • Very nice. I now have a Filco k/b with the same switches (cherry mx blue) and blank keycaps. The feel of it is just so addictive.

  • @shrumpkin the cherry switches used everywhere are German, ever seen a run down BMW? i sure haven't.

  • @darkenlightenment ROLMFAO! I never saw that!! Thanks for pointing that out!

  • lol... has anyone tried watching this video with closed caption transcribed audio?... most interesting thing i've ever read haha

  • It's really annoying how so many people assume products are perfectly engineered just because they come from Germany. Have you ever noticed how often cars like Mercedes-Benz and BMW live in the car shops for things like bad transmissions?

German, German, German. They're not gods people. I would say that the Japanese make far superior products. I have a Filco with a Mac. I looked at the Das, but it has the exact same switches as the Filco (Cherry Blues).

    Enjoy it. :)

  • @shrumpkin IIRC

Das builds their keyboards in China...

  • @shrumpkin You know the germans make good stuff.

  • Good review, other than the horizontal flip.

    Very informative.

  • You're right! I forgot to flip the video right way... rookie mistake! For the record the num pad and the arrow keys are on the right hand side. Thanks!

  • @renegade420 Daww. I thought they were on the left so you wouldn't have to reach as far for your mouse. Dang it.

  • @renegade420 I was wondering about that, being a Southpaw, then I looked a little more closely at the Das Keyboard logo... :D

  • I was trying to figure out why your keyboard looked weird (I knew the keys were blank) and I realized that you flipped the video horizontally, and it looks like the arrow keys and numpad are on the left. Any reason why? Just curious.

    Cool keyboard, btw.
