I saw the Mighty Clouds at the New Orleans Jazz Festival in 1990. They played inside a huge tent packed to the gills. I could just barely get inside. It was the first time I ever saw a gospel performance, and I was AMAZED at how these guys could get a crowd going. Incredibly uplifting experience! You get some of the feeling of it from this video, but of course, being there is a whole other thing. If this is what they mean by the 'Power of the Spirit', all I can say is WOW!

Have I just stepped outside my mind or is that The Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Slim And The Supreme Angels, The Jackson Southernaires, The Williamns Brothers and so on all in the same room praisin the Lord!!!! I'm assuming this is a Bobby Jones production. I'll be searching high and low for a copy of the whole program. Lord have mercy too good to be true.

I've read all the comments... It's funny that some people just don't get it... To God Be The Glory (First of All) but as far as music these people have been on the battlefield and they should get their props for being on that path for 30 years or more. Thank God that people are preserving this type of footage for generations to come. Wouldn't it been nice to see the likes of Sam Cooke, Lou Rawls, Archie Brownlee captured on video with their groups.

This was a great night to have all these ledgends on one stage! I enjoyed it even more being on stage playing the guitar with all these gospel greats! And yes Miss Walker did sing but it was edited as well as a few others but it was a night to remember.

Maybe it's something I have to pray about. I tend to take more to older people. I see a lot of young people today who don't care about nothing but being ignorant. Not all of them but alot. I was raised old shcool. I even look at how they act in church and don't talk about the ones with babies running all over the place. As far as there music too much movement, dressed inappropriate and I cant' understand what they are singing.. Are they singing for the LORD or the devil. JUST MY OPINION
