I think, and this is my opinion, that the song is still pop despite the 80's guitar.

For it to be a cover, lady gaga's vocals wouldn't be in this it would be someone singing the lyrics instead (Halestorms Bad Romance for instance), Mashup means more than one song was mixed together with this song; plenty of examples on here just look up one. The vocal track with nothing else is considered an acapella, as its vocals only lol. It can be one or many vox's

Though a vocal track with no instumental or otherwise artifical musical accompaniment is acapella thus the guitar renders this not. Also I would suggest the the timing of this song and the lyrics still classify the song in the pop territory despite the electric guitar accompaniment and it's stylings.
