You almost want to think the Bear, after grabbing moose calf and hiding in behind the ridge, turned to the camerawoman and said: "You didn't see nothin'"
@NutStretcher I was merely poking fun at MissMarinaDenisowa's comment. Obviously you didn't read who I was making a comment towards, therefore not knowing how youtube comments work, therefore making you the fucking retard. Good try though. Try harder next time.
Its to bad the bears don't attack the idiot people moving in to their territory & then being shocked when they see a bear in the wild doing what they do to survive & feed themselves & their young, "OMG that bear is so mean!!" IT'S A BEAR YOU IDIOT & YOU ARE IN ALASKA!!! What did you think was gonna happen the bear & moose were gonna play checkers together & look cute like they do in cartoons! Reaity check kids Bears will eat your face! LOL! Stupid people!
Living in Alaska, this is not fake...and no, I do not know fucking Sarah Palin, so don't fucking ask me. She's fucking stupid, and so is anyone who asks.
Was the bear injured by staff? Did the wildlife staff discourage it's charge using skill? How do they prevent bear attacks when a bear is simply protecting it's food?
They moved the carcass because it was too close to an area where humans live. If the bear would just happen to attack a human, it would definitely have to be killed. So, removing what was keeping the bear close to people was the only real choice here. Besides, in case you couldn't tell it was already eaten...
I am in shock and awe! How could you seriously step into another creatures house and take it's kill and food all because it killed the cute moose calf that came around your yard..... I don't get it. You have no right. Is it really human nature to do such things and really actually try and control everything?
@TheOmegaEffect why would a predator animal be anything but? do you go on other videos and leave comments like "wow, that bird is airborne!" or "damn, that fish can swim!"
PETA probably might want to protest against that bear. Maybe try to shame it into becoming a strict vegetarian or better yet a vegan. This kind of brutal killing of an innocent animal just can't be ignored and can't continue. ;)
I feel bad for the moose, but such is life. Animals eat each other to live. Plus, that Grizzly Bear, even though I don't like killing/seeing anyone/anything killed, Lord forbid, it could've come after someone else, possibly anyway. I dare say I kinda like Bears when they're not angry and on a rampage to harm or anything.
More and more people are invading the natural space of animals. Its so sad that city folk need to exploit the forest and then complain when natural things occur in them.
Mmm...maybe the autorities removed the carcuss because the Grizzly left it too close to the houses, and since Grizzly bears are know to come back to finish their meals...
@osiud they didn't shoot her or her cubs. they scared her off. It's spring she won't have any trouble finding more food and in the future will associate this area with having her food took from her and will avoid it. it saves her life and the life of the kid playing outside.
Outdoor Ent. that is a great question. Having lived in bear country, the reason you get rid of a carcass is to protect the people in and around the area. Often times there is no option to move it nearby and out of the human 'area'. Unfortunately this is the problem with humans in the bear 'area'.
re title this Grizzly Bear kills BABY moose. Big deal, I was hoping to see a braw between a grizzly and a buck! What a rip! Further more, why the hell did they disturb the grizzly? This happened in wild, the bear killed and ate another wild animal! It's part of nature and survival and they are bother the Bear? WTF?
why did they kill the bear? Because it was too close to humans. If that calf wasn;t there, and you were...Pretty sure you would have been the meal of the day. And the bear population, along with wolves, have been growing out of control...Sorry hippies, but these aren't animals to let grow out of control.
so I have a question....i'm not slamming you for anything, just a question. Its in the wild, why did authorities have to claim the carcuss? It was a clean kill that the grizzly made so she could feed herself and her cub. I just don't really understand, when you live bordering a forest this stuff will happen. But it is an interesting encounter.
@OutdoorEnt I think they do that because of the proximity of the kill to the houses. Basically, it's a bad place for bears to feed regardless of whether people are feeding them or they make the kill themselves. A bear guarding meat for herself and her cubs is a lot more dangerous to nearby humans.
Yes, of course, it's the fault of us humans for moving into their territory in the first place. I'm not making a judgement about that here. I'm just explaining why they removed the carcass.
@OutdoorEnt The bear feeding there was probably to close to a town or in this case most likley that persons house and with a roting carcass in the woods that close to people, it can attract other bears as well as any other predators in the region, especially since she has cubs the bear will be far more agressive. Its a precautionary meassure for human saftey. Just another example of human expansion and its effects on natural habitat.
@OutdoorEnt Momma grizzly was going to camp the carcass until it was picked clean. They didn't want a potentially aggressive sow w/ cubs that close to human habitation is my thought.
@OutdoorEnt in a controlled environment, they have to keep track of this kinda stuff because it helps keep a moose bear ratio tally...its really annoying.
@OutdoorEnt probably because bears dont usually eat everything from the carcass( hair, bones, cartilage) so when the grizz is done, you'll get lots of coyotes coming around, which is probably more dangerous than the grizz. coyotes dont have too much fear of man and are pretty dangerous around children and small pets.
@OutdoorEnt I think probably to prevent the bear from associating the area with food. But being that neighborhood looks to essentially be in the middle of the forest, I'm not sure how practical that is.
@OutdoorEnt - I live in Texas so I really don't know, but just going to guess that they wanted take the carcass, thus forcing the bear to go elsewhere for food, hopefully deeper into the woods and out of the neighborhoods. Again, just a wild guess.
@OutdoorEnt I get what you're saying. I think they moved the carcass as to remove the bear's encouragement to return. Hopefully they tossed the carcass in the forest far"ish" away from the property, but close enough for a bear nose to track it down.
@OutdoorEnt my guess is that they would take the carcass to get it out and away from the nearby homes, which would in turn leave the bears with no reason to stick around, after reading your comment this was the only conclusion i could come to.
@OutdoorEnt it leaves the bear in the area, the bear thinks it could stay in the area with meat still left on the carcass and think there is more food in the area!
Any bear that makes a kill in an around houses in AK is shot because they can no longer be trusted around people. don't believe the narrator look it up and see for yourself.
If you guys don't want bears hunting in your neighborhoods, maybe you should keep the herbivores out? Just sayin. Either that or just accept the presence of predators.
@barkbarkbarkbarkable seriously? if you cant tell the difference between a grizzly and a black bear dont comment, it IS a grizzly, large hump on back sloped saddle like face, 100% grizzly
@Swonkneo Grizzly would fuck up 2 black bears at the same time, if I had to pick one to fight I would take the black bear, slight bit more of a chance of survival, both would still fuck you up bad though, grizzly are more agressive too.
@Swonkneo I am a hunter....well used to be before I became a fucking drone for the bullshit mind controlling system we have. They need to get a life and go back to their city dwelling lifestyles. Blacks killing other blacks is a normal everyday thing to them but a grizzly trying to feed its family is not ordinary to them? They ARE yuppies and @druidg couldn't have said it better!
so if I lived there, my kids would never play outside without me there with my AR-15...Thats got to be some crazy stuff to look out your window and see a big ass Grizzly shredding a moose calf...I really hope you have guns on hand in your house. What if the Grizzly knocked your door down and came in...
I wonder what would have happened if the bear would have been equiped with a flame thrower and a satchel of hand grenades, and the bear would have had a minigun for an arm and a laser range finder for an eye?
could have done without the bitch talkin' over the whole thing. i gave the video a thumbs down just for that infact. also, i do not believe awokened is a word. the red line beneath the word after i typed it is telling me i might be right.
Leave the carcass for the bear....he/she worked for it. It`s nature...leave them alone. Excellent video though....hard to get this kind of raw footage.
I just don't understand why they had to get the carcas? I think that is awesome footage of raw nature, don't get me wrong but why get the skin only? It looked like a rug when they went and got it.
@garytelecastor and I highly doubt they used rubber bullets, those are typically used for police for non-lethal situations...wildlife officers in alaska know the capabilities of grizzlies all too well and on a "recover the moose carcass from the mom with cubs dinner plate" call I HIGHLY doubt they would risk not having lethal capabilities available...mace, yes they probably had bear mace or pepper spray too
@GL0CK3DandL0AD3D no but it posed a danger to the people with it so close to the house, and proof of that is the grizzly charging the alaskan wildlife officers as they tried to remove the carcass...btw, everbody who thinks the bear got shot, shooting into the air is a good way to scare a bear away when its charging, especially without mace...Come to my farm, spray sow in heat and other bear attractants on yourself, run through the woods, and see how well you do if you disagree and ill prove it
"We went in to the bears house wiped our dirty ass boots on his shit then stole his food.. For some reason he got mad and charged us.. We shot him" Fuckin people yo
This is horrible. I can't believe people watch something this horiffic, and then have good things to say about it, like its a good thing!
The government should have separated the moose and the bear and made them go their own way! Instead, a poor moose got dragged by it's neck and then a bear was needlessly shot!
Well, welcome to the land of psycho racist and violent Republicans, fueled by Beck and Limbaugh! Just more war mongering, even though they're not in power! Still devious!
@DaGanjaSamurai 'Kay 1. That's called NATURE, retard. Ever heard of it? 2. They never said any good things. 3. The bear was not harmed. Didn't you hear it at the end? Or were you just too stupid to not listen? Fucking cunt. You can't just stop a bear from eating what it's supposed to. How do you think it will survive? It's not like people go out into the wild every day, cover their body in rib sauce and say "Hey, any bears wanna come eat me?"
It doesn't work like that. You hunt to live. Retard.
Bears don't need to hunt at ALL to survive! Bears can be trained to eat vegetables and give up meat, which is what Obama SHOULD have done in this situation! Bears only started killing other animals because of deregulation of the environment. This sort of stuff only started happening under Reaganomics! You never saw this stuff under Clinton! You need to read a fucking book you moronic right winger before you open your yap about stuff you're CLUELESS about!
@DaGanjaSamurai Best post I have read in a long time! Very funny stuff - dry humor like a British comedy or something. "Bear deregulation" haha LMFAO! Took a bear video and turned into a political statement just like I did a few days ago. Good one!
why the fuck did they kill the bear, it's bear country for fuck sake, but i guess "it's all ok, even if the moose is dead because the bear is no longer with us."
I would like to know the american state grizzly lives and if is in the law to kill them. I am asking it because if a bear catch a child or a man,,, oh, my God. Sorry for my english. Hugs from Brazil.
Why does people have to ruin a perfectly good video with nasty comments? If you want to call each other names exchange phone numbers. We adults don't want to read trash like you immature kids write. Grow up. To the one who made this video, thanks for a great vid! That is something most of us will never see.

so if I lived there, my kids would never play outside without me there with my AR-15...Thats got to be some crazy stuff to look out your window and see a big ass Grizzly shredding a moose calf...I really hope you have guns on hand in your house. What if the Grizzly knocked your door down and came in...

I wonder what would have happened if the bear would have been equiped with a flame thrower and a satchel of hand grenades, and the bear would have had a minigun for an arm and a laser range finder for an eye?

Leave the carcass for the bear....he/she worked for it. It`s nature...leave them alone. Excellent video though....hard to get this kind of raw footage.

scary!!!
recon66661 1 year ago
Why did they get involved with nature. does the bear not need to eat. If it had food it wouldn't be near people so them taking it away is beyond me.
cdnexperience 1 year ago
I just don't understand why they had to get the carcas? I think that is awesome footage of raw nature, don't get me wrong but why get the skin only? It looked like a rug when they went and got it.
VictorNunzio 1 year ago
Ok so if the bear didnt get shot, why are they shooting?
I cant imagine living in a place where i cant get into the woods every time it want to.
Here in germany, we dont have dangerous animals or rednecks :)
ErKa44 1 year ago
@ErKa44 They were using rubber bullets and pepper spray. It causes the bear to be afraid of the presence of humans.
Oh, and yeah, you Germans have such a history of tolerance and good naturedness. I'll take a redneck over a Nazi any day.
garytelecastor 1 year ago
@garytelecastor Well its not like you walk around in the woods and get shot by a nazi :)
Those times are long gone you know ?
But thanks for the explanation, They are trying to resettle bears and wolves in some parts of germany again
ErKa44 1 year ago
@ErKa44 Whats wrong with rednecks?
Canebrake7 1 year ago
@garytelecastor and I highly doubt they used rubber bullets, those are typically used for police for non-lethal situations...wildlife officers in alaska know the capabilities of grizzlies all too well and on a "recover the moose carcass from the mom with cubs dinner plate" call I HIGHLY doubt they would risk not having lethal capabilities available...mace, yes they probably had bear mace or pepper spray too
Canebrake7 1 year ago
why did they even go in to get the carcas, are moose protected in alaska or somthing
GL0CK3DandL0AD3D 1 year ago
@GL0CK3DandL0AD3D no but it posed a danger to the people with it so close to the house, and proof of that is the grizzly charging the alaskan wildlife officers as they tried to remove the carcass...btw, everbody who thinks the bear got shot, shooting into the air is a good way to scare a bear away when its charging, especially without mace...Come to my farm, spray sow in heat and other bear attractants on yourself, run through the woods, and see how well you do if you disagree and ill prove it

DaGanjaSamurai 1 year ago
@DaGanjaSamurai 'Kay 1. That's called NATURE, retard. Ever heard of it? 2. They never said any good things. 3. The bear was not harmed. Didn't you hear it at the end? Or were you just too stupid to not listen? Fucking cunt. You can't just stop a bear from eating what it's supposed to. How do you think it will survive? It's not like people go out into the wild every day, cover their body in rib sauce and say "Hey, any bears wanna come eat me?"
It doesn't work like that. You hunt to live. Retard.
Xxembersolstafir 1 year ago
@Xxembersolstafir
Stupid ass GOP!

@DaGanjaSamurai Best post I have read in a long time! Very funny stuff - dry humor like a British comedy or something. "Bear deregulation" haha LMFAO! Took a bear video and turned into a political statement just like I did a few days ago. Good one!

Why does people have to ruin a perfectly good video with nasty comments? If you want to call each other names exchange phone numbers. We adults don't want to read trash like you immature kids write. Grow up. To the one who made this video, thanks for a great vid! That is something most of us will never see.
