Ahh the Carnival Fantasy class ships. I was on the Ecstasy and we left out of Miami. Though that was back in 2000. The Fantasy class are fun ships. Not the largest but I think they are around 850ft long and 80,000 tons.

With all these men-overboards lately, you would think the passenger lines and the cargo ships would benefit in putting on a 20-foot mesh netting on the sides to catch you.

It would not only catch anyone falling, it would also keep pirates from coming aboard, or atleast buy some time for crew members to turn on the fire hose.
