I was a beaver scout once for a short period but was always bullied as a kid (I'm 18 now) due to bullying I could never understand the concept of people being nice to me at the scouts which resulted in me leaving and I have to say that I hate myself for making that choice. I still have the same social problems to this day and only wish I could turn back time and stay with the scouts. I defy anyone who puts a single word against a scout regardless of rank etc. Keep up the good work lads! :)

Boy Scouts are nerds? I am an Eagle Scout and will proudly rep that organization for life. Joining scouts was by far one of the best decisions of my life.

And as far as being a nerd, I was selected as one of five males to be on my High School Homecoming court. Not trying to brag, just saying that if you do what you are passionate about you can make it cool.

bsa overprices almost everything. i didnt but their utensils, mess kit, or compass, etc i just went to walmart and got the same thing but cheaper. Also dont buy anything expensive until you know you are goin to stay in scouts.

I'm a leader now 12, a scout for 12 years and I don't regret even one day of it. I never met any better friends than the ones that I got in our scout group. Our uniforms show that we are in unison.
