  • That's no Marauder.

  • Looks like a rebuilt Martin B-26 Marauder.

  • @356butch yes, you are right

  • What is that sqeeking im hearing is it the breaks?

  • I loved having the Neptunes drop on a fire because they made such a great sound as they climbed out after the drop. I'm sure the pilots have the most fun, but it's also cool to be on the ground as they fly over, with the props and the jets combining to make their distinctive noise.

  • whats that whaleing sound is that the breakes?

  • Yes, that screeching sound is from the brakes, nice!

  • What kind of camera did you use to film this?

  • Panasonic GS-400 with an external, directional microphone. Thanks!

  • much prefer the Erikson water bomber ... much more convenient and way more effective when time is critical, your not gonna be hovering over the nearest descent dam for a quick refill using this sucker !

  • Different uses entirely. If you're going to compare the Aircrane to a Neptune you may as well compare an engine to a dozer.

  • In what circumstances would you think it would be more appropriate to use this, than the Aircrane ?

  • the yellow neptune is owned and operated by minden air in minden,NV

  • Looks like they were in Canadian service prior to water bomber work.

  • Do the jets function? I couldn't quite tell.

  • yes the jets do function and neptune avation uses them all the time.

  • So great ... I love it !
