  • hi there,

I just receive a digital meter DT 266 (with a trigger) and I'm newb to this thing. Could u pls tell me that the 111.8V u got from the vid is on ACV or DCV? I just don't remember which one is for home/domestic use?

  • Its on ACV. The electricity coming into your home is 110/120VAC. In some cases it may be configured as 220/240VAC for driers.

  • intelligent good job

  • shouldnt you be getting 120 volts ac from your outlet? 111 volts you got seems low !!!

  • No, something around 110 volts is quite common.

  • thanks! just what i was looking for

  • I can't see where you put the dial on the Multimeter and dummy like me I still don't know how to used a multimeter

    Thanks

  • Very informative!

  • a question, if we have a wire and we connect it to form a circle, is this circle considered an electrical circuit and what are its components, what are the sources of voltage, current and resistance if any? thanks

  • If there is no voltage source applied to the "circle", or a magentic field nearby then there is no current flowing through the wire, and thus not a circuit. The wire itself will have resistance and inductance properties, regardless if there is a voltage or EMF applied.

  • thanks i just got my first digital multimeter on christmas eve(store would be closed christmas day)

  • Good solid tips.

  • Is that not the point of online how-to videos?

  • yeah

  • yes, for beginners but helpful video

  • Good for beginners
