Oh, go suck a giant dick. The Steelers are NOT the best team ever. Not at all. Not even a little bit. You know why? Does anyone know why? THE REASON THEY HAVE 6 SUPER BOWLS IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE LARGEST FAN BASE OUT OF ANY NFL TEAM IN HISTORY. You know why the Patriots won against the Rams in that Super Bowl? 9/11. The Patriots are a perfect "American team". I hate the NFL for bullshitting good teams out of what they deserve for what the fans want.
@gaminggenius531 Take your right-wing conspiracy bullshit somewhere else. When any team wins four super bowls in six years, they will develope a large fanbase. The Steelers are currently the most successful team in pro football since the NFL/AFL merger. Highest winning percentage, most divisional titles and most championships. Just the facts. Deal with it. But if believing in some giant corporate conspiracy helps you sleep at night, then sleep well. Sorry your team sucks.
@MrJtr1888 Wrong, you fucktard! Do some research!! The Cowboys are the team with the highest winning percentage since he NFL/AFL merger! It's not technically a conspiracy theory, because the refs of super bowl XL admitted to have made "bad calls"... So, call me crazy, but that seems a bit fishy... Oh, and by the way the 49ers don't suck, ass hole.
dude, i'm subscribing today. you have some great videos, but i'm a die hard steeler maniac and this video is simply IT. u said it all, ur the man ... turks rule!
I love the steelers players in that when they give interviews they actually sound intelligent. Most of these players when interviewed can barely put a sentence together
I would say Manning is the best QB in the NFL right now, closely followed by Tom Brady. Roethlisberger is up there too, you have to take in too count the offensive line of the Patriots and Colts compared to the Steelers.
Steeler's offensive line is crap compared to the other two.
If Ben DIDN'T hold onto the ball as long as he does, he wouldn't make half the amazing plays he does.
Ben is a weird, unorthodox, quarterback. The things that make you furious with him, ALSO are what makes him make amazing plays. Look at THIS play for example...Santonio was his FOURTH READ on this play.
Ben makes amazing plays sometimes 6 and 7 seconds after the snap. That doesn't happen if he throws the ball away as soon as the play breaks down.
i would take Adrian Peterson if i was starting a franchise. already the best RB and leg the league in rushing, and that was his second year. he gonna be on Barry Sanders level if he stays healthy
I love Tyree catch in Super Bowl play. John Stallworth "over the shoulder" TD catch in Super Bowl 14, still ranks "HIGH" in my book. But Holmes, catch WOW a TD, toe tap, small window, UNBELIEVABLE
The thing I really hated about this game is that one unsportsmanlike conduct by James Harrison. I really lost a lot of respect for him.
I was sad for Fitzgerald too.
Roethlisberger is a great quarterback; he deserved the MVP IMO. The whole drive as a whole by Big Ben was more impressive than the last catch by Holmes.
It was a pretty intense game but SB42 was still better because of the storyline(perfection vs a team that started 0-2) and the low scoring frustration. And the Tyree catch.
the storyline for 43 was great too. you got the card's coach, the whiz, former offensive coordinator of the steelers, and the coach now of the steelers, mike tomlin, were both up for the job of head coach for the steelers last year. and tomlin was choosen over him. also, you got a team thats built from Lombardi's to a team that hasnt been to the PLAYOFFS in decades. i think this storyline was just as much david and goliath as last years, except goliath won this time, lol.
Dude, one of the best videos. Anyone that has shit to say against Big Ben or the Steelers as a WHOLE, watch this video and STFU. Great video man. Couldn't agree more.

Your talking fantasy football thinking Manning is the only top Quarterback. Carson Palmer and Peyton are easy to defeat if you rush them and make either of them move their feet. They become average real quick if they have to move in the pocket. Big Ben, sacked most, is surrounded by minimum wage talent. Put him on the Colts and he defeats New England in the playoffs. The 49er Owner cheated with NFL rules, way over the salary cap. The Rooney's field a low wage team but they get physical players.
uh...when the 49ers owner "cheated" there WAS NO SALARY CAP. and yeah if you rush big ben he is good. thats the only time. if you just play zone he cant make the throws.
and he is sacked the most cause he doesnt get rid of the freakin football. Thats what made Marino great, thats what makes Manning, Palmer, Brees, and ofcourse Brady way better than roethlisberger. On the pregame show they put it perfectly. Roethlisberger IS NOT A GREAT QB. He IS a great FOOTBALL PLAYER NOT QB. Lets not mistake the two things. Im not taking anything from big ben. he just isnt in the top five in the league
I'd say, right now, Ben Roethlisberger is the best QB in the NFL. Especially what he did this year behind a suspect oline with the toughest schedule in the NFL.
Sounds like you don't want to admit what he's done so far has been pretty amazing but the truth is he is a GREAT QB.
his O-line is fine. he just hangs on to the football for way too long. but you fail to mentlon that ever since he came into the league he has had an awesome defence, and a great run game. something neither manning, palmer, or brees have ever had. maybe brees had a run game at one point. but not always like Big Ben. Emmit Smith had 3 rings, Barry Sanders had none. Yet EVERYONE knows Sanders is the best. Same thing here. and cut the "cheating" crap. He beat you TWICE to get to the SB. Get over it
Since the 80's the best franchise is still the 49ers. they won 5. since 1980. Steelers, Cowboys, and Patriots have won 3. So yeah, this guy is pretty much wrong on everything he said
Hfutbol8-- You are wrong..check your facts..AND BESIDES, he was saying the best team EVER , not since the eighties!! Sure the 49ers were the team of the 80s, the cowboys the team of the 90s Steelers team of the 70s...and MAYBE the team of this decade. If the Steelers win again in the next 2 years, THERE WILL BE NO ARGUMENT. Period!
when the steelers won 4 superbowls in the 70's. who else was around that was good? the undefeated dolphins where in 72. who else was around? Football began in the 80's. with Elway, Montana, Marino. Three of the top five QB's ever. not to mention more other players. so the Steelers beat NOBODY in the 70's. So yeah. im also talking best team ever. im not taking anything away from the steelers titles this decade. im talking all time. they beat no one before. Who hasnt lost in SB's? not Steelers
Marino never won a Super Bowl. Also..I think the Cowboys were pretty good at the time ..they had a guy named Roger Staubach..I am sure that was LONG before your time. So who was soooo god in the 80s that the 49ers beat..? Oh..the Cowboys maybe to get to the Super Bowl..GET OVER IT! 6 Super Bowls is ALWAYS better than 5 no matter how you slice it..Like I have said..if we get one or 2 more KISS IT GOODBYE!!
thats correct. and yet he ALWAYS gets ranked over Bradshaw who has four. and I know Staubach was there. so? he wont 2 SB's. wow. Big ben, being an average QB has done that already in tougher times. oh and the niners beat Marino and Elway. like I said. two of the top five QB's ever. Staubach and Bradshaw aren't in that argument. and yeah like i said. if they get 2 more my hats off to them. Im not bashing on the two in this decade. im talking about the 4 in the 70's. Face it. No one was around
80's. thats why the greatest QB, HB, WR, DL, LB, and DB have all played in this era along with like almost all the top five's in those positions. this last thing is arguable. but the first three are FACTS
so Roethlisberger wont be either. #2. Not the greatest catch. anyone that actually watches football on a regular basis, sees this catch about 15 to 20 times in a season. last year's has only been seen ONE time. #3. last year's superbowl was to see a coronation of the greatest team ever, and we saw the biggest upset in history. So to this guy in the video, please WATCH FOOTBALL BEFORE TALKING. and #4. Steelers? not the greatest franchise ever. yes 6 SB's. But since football really began in the
oh my god this guy is a complete idiot. Big Ben is an ok quarterback, which the steelers needed to compliment their good run game, and their BADASS defence. thats it. you take manning and Ben and make them switch teams and the colts suck. I know stats aren't important, but they DO come into play when you try to compare someone with the big dogs. 17 TD's and 15 INT's are horrible numbers for a great QB. thus he isnt great. there's a reason why when talkin of great QB's Bradshaw isnt in the top 5
The greatness about that catch is that just a play or two earlier he missed the same type of catch.....it went straight through his hands.......now to go to him again and he goes to the other side and catches pretty much the same catch he just missed....... WOW
VP of officiating of the NFL explained the last fumble that ended the game. He agreed that either way it was still a fumble. The official in the booth did review it and could have asked the officials on the field to review it also. But in the VP's view, after seeing it the instant replay, it would not have been overturned. It was still a fumble. He did say that it did warrant a review by the field officials.
I hate to bring politics to the superbowl, but I heard Rush Limbough is a big fan of the steelers. I wonder if he consideres his steelers to be LIBERALS! After all, the owners of the steelers suport Obama and also they have a coach that is afroamerican. I wonder if rush consider the steelers good for him?
Who would I rather have in the last two minutes - Big Ben or Manning? NEITHER! Tom Brady! Clutch as they come, and I know he didn't get it done in the last drive of SB 42, but he had less than 30 seconds, the drive before that he drove the team down to what was considered to be the game winning drive - that is until Tyree made "The Catch". If he is healthy nest season the Pats will be champs again.
What some people miss regarding the Steelers is Cowher made it to the AFC Championship games with Kordell Stewert as Quarterback. Tomlin did it with the worst Offensive line in football. There is no way Walsh, Parcells, Belicheck, Landry, Shula, etc. do this . Also, Brady and Manning throw to thoroughbred receivers while Roethlisberger throws to a below average bunch of receivers. The Steelers do it thru the draft and emphasize physical intimidation. The Rooneys do not spend for free agents.
If Harrison doesn't get in the Steelers get another play. Fitzgerald ran 40 yard out of bounds to avoid blockers then came back in at the 5 which would have been a penalty.
wrong, rule is that after coming off the field you can't be the first to touch the ball. even if you weren't wrong, there was no flag thrown for fitzgerald so there wouldn't have been an extra play
No, you're wrong. When a player steps out of bounds he has to reestablish himself in the field of play which by rule is considered 15 yards of football action on the field of play. The half can't end on a defensive penalty and there was the facemask that was called anyway.
Its amazing to me how many people are whining about the refs in this game while ignoring flagrant non-calls or missed calls that went against the Steelers.
first off.....peyton manning is the best qb since elway or montana.....even though brady has more rings......big ben is clutch but that doesn't mean he is better.......peyton has WAY more comebacks than he does.....after saying all that i must admit the steelers are everything i wish my dallas cowboys were....tough,smart, and no drama.....when rooney shouted out to OBAMA i nearly jumped out of my seat.....that was unbelievably badass
A lot of people are saying that Tom Brady is the best quarterback. I have to ask though, where was he this season? On the sidelines nursing an injury, why? Because he isn't mobile enough to get away from rushers. He is a championship quarterback, of course, but far from the best. Lastly, if Manning is so great, why hasn't he been to the big game more than the one time? Just asking!
i have to disagree with cenk... i think manning is still better than ben. i dont think because ben has 1 more superbowl than manning makes him better. and lets consider the fact that ben played like shit in superbowl XL. they got lucky that they were facing a shitty team that year. ben def did well in this game, but it doesnt make him better than one of the best QB's right now. maybe if ben gets another SB, then you can say that, but its too early to say. and id choose manning over ben any day.
Cenk ur crazy Peyton PEYTON PEYTON! is the greatest quarterback if he had that kind of defense Peyton would always have the ball and would throw for like 60 touchdowns. Big Ben is great but number one pick to start a franchise Peyton
SB wise they are the best team being that they had 6 titles but when you count the greatest football franchises, they come in the top 5. I was sayin they were going to the SB since week 5 or the reg. season. though.
Yeah, I noticed this little article on the last page of the paper today....
but I guess that was only because this Roethlisberger guy had Swiss roots, because normally American Football is below the news radar here in Switzerland.
I hate the Colts with passion but Manning is clearly better than Ben. I would rate Ben right there with Palmer, Brees, Rivers and McNabb. All of them are elite QBs but Manning and of course Brady are way ahead of everyone else. It´s like comparing Dwyane Wade with Michael Jordan or Wladimir Klitscho with Muhammad Ali.
Steelers need to work on their short yard game Cenk. How many times were they in the red zone and had to settle for a field goal? They came through when it mattered. I give credit where credit is due, but they made that game much closer than it had to be.
Gotta disagree w/ Cenk, Ben Roethlisbeger is an elite quarterback, no doubt about that, but Peyton Manning is a first ballod hall of famer. And as to who I would rather have with 1:30 left on the clock, you gotta go w/ Manning. But of course, we all know who the greastest quarterback playing today (and arguably all-time) is, none other than Tom Brady, "kiss the rings, bitch!"
Ben Roethlisberger is a first-ballot hall of famer too. He's one of the winningest quarterbacks ever. Championships get you there, much more so than stats. Ask Troy Aikman and Steve Young.
Brady isn't the best ever. There's no such thing as the best ever. After a while, you earn a place in the conversation, but that's about it.
He's talking about the sport of grid-iron football. Are we talking baseball? The Yankees. Ice hockey? Montreal, or maybe Detroit. Soccer? Real, Barcelona, Man U, Milan. Its hard to compare franchises across sports.
He said yesterday if the steelers win the superbowl they will be the best sporting franchise of all time, nothing more noting less. That isn't exactly up for interpretation
a great team wouldnt have had to make 2 lucky plays to barely win. fuck you and your lucky ass team. if they played again next week the cards would probably win. ps. i dont care about football, and neither team is my favorite. i just hate to hear a blowhard bragging about how great his piece of shit team is, when everything he says is clearly bullshit.
The 2008 Steelers are better than the 2007 Patriots (chokers) and will go down as a historic championship team...one of the most dominant seasons by a defense since the '85 Bears, numerous big games won by last minute drives, hall-of-famers on the roster.
What were the two lucky plays, dear boy? Silly, silly hater.
The game was GOOD but nowhere even REMOTELY close to last years Giants win over the Pats.
That was arguably the BEST Super Bowl of all time.
Not taking anything away from the Steelers... they are the best franchise in the history of the NFL. They are.
But noone can take away last years Super Bowl from the G-Men... it was... a triumph not only for the team but EVERY other team in the NFL. That was spirit, grit, drama and destiny.
Actually I find that the Steelers had a lousy fourth quarter. They could have put that game away a few time but they needed a last minute TD to finish it,
Best team ever? That just seems like an overstatement.
Were it not for that freak play the Cardinals would have won handily. I think Kurt Warner outplayed Ben and Fitzgerald was just as good as any of the receivers for the Steelers.
The Steelers didn't even have a spectacular record or anything... what's all the fuss about?
They were 12-4 this season, the only team that had a better record than them was the Titans. So that's certainly not a record to just turn your nose up at.
Warner had 3 more downs, he could have just as easily not thrown that pick. Additionally, Kurt Warner didn't outplay Ben; Warner made more completions but also had more turnovers. Finally, Ben was able to score in under 2 minutes.
The Cardinals also had serious penalty problems on both sides of the football.
On the Contrary, the Steelers have the best record in NFL history, they are the most successful franchise in the sport now. I'm a Bears fan, and I don't like it, but it's the truth.
cenk, you don't know sports. or at least football because catches like that happen every week. clark's catch was spectacular because he went up and got a pass nobody thought he could get. holmes has made that same catch many times before. see the difference?
Totally, and James Harrison's cheap shots on that O-Lineman was just pure class. I am so glad the refs looked the other way, because he's a star, and they can do whatever they want.
I asked my dad when I was little why they were called the "steelers" he told me because at the games people come up from behind the bleechers and steal your wallet!!! lol
GO STEELERS!
By the way I think Ben even got a tackle last night
What! Cent talks like Eli is a choker in the last minute. What happen in last years SB? Eli ran an even better drive than Ben did this year, are u kidding me?
That was a great catch by Santonio. But Larry Fitzgerald's corner of the end zone catch was much better. Granted the Steelers won, but I think Fitzgerald's catch was insane.
dude, i doubt that that idiot is a regular TYT watcher. i don't believe i have ever met a racist democrat in my life and democrats are really all the TYT watchers.
LMAO. Are you seriously comparing Football to American Football? Get a life. The whole world plays football americans play softball and handball with contact.
Who was comparing American rules football to soccer? I didn't see that post. Weird. But if I were to compare the two sports I would say that American rules football is superior to soccer. The rest of the world loves soccer because it's cheaper and easier to understand. Kids in Guatemala can't afford helmets and shoulder pads, but they can afford a ball of rolled up tape and a garbage can as a goal.
whoah.... I understand your overall opinion - but what u just wrote about poverty and american spending was wrong, for multiple reasons that are too obvious to mention.
Oh come on, can't you get over it and just laugh? It's sorta true right? And that asswipe I was responding to is a total fuckwad. It was meant to piss him off.
Damn Cenk you sound like you are a Stealers fan. They are not the best because the word best is subjective to what you think is best. They are the most successful as far as winning goes. And the catch by Holmes was good and great. Also one of the better SB games I've seen. But don't cream yourself on the replays too much. Just sayin
peyton manning is an all-time great quarterback and you can't just say ur going to take big ben over peyton in a second. -peyton manning never had the best defense in the league.
The Steelers are the best NFL franchise ever. All you Steeler haters who say they stole the Superbowl last night need to stop eating sour grapes. You're just jealous because your team hasn't won SIX Superbowls. The play by Kurt Warner at the end of the game was a fumble.
Steelers deserved to win. They had the toughest schedule. They were all about business and not about drama like the Cowgirls always do. Steelers are the best, but I think Cardinals do deserve to be respected now as a good, elite team but only if Warner stays another year. Leinhart or whoever sucks.
the steelers are the greatest team but obamas stupid ass had nothing to do with it

Only QB in back to back Conference games first 2 years,
NFL Rookie of the year breaking Marino records,
8-2 post season record, a game winning SB drive,
18 4th quarter comebacks in last 2 minutes or OT, most since '04,
3 carrer perfect passer raiting games, 1 less than Manning ,2 more than Brady and they only QB with 2 in the same season.... Big Ben Is Awesome!

Emmit Smith had 3 rings, Barry Sanders had none. Yet EVERYONE knows Sanders is the best. Same thing here. and cut the "cheating" crap. He beat you TWICE to get to the SB. Get over it
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
Since the 80's the best franchise is still the 49ers. they won 5. since 1980. Steelers, Cowboys, and Patriots have won 3. So yeah, this guy is pretty much wrong on everything he said
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
since the 80's
rangerz48 3 years ago
Hfutbol8-- You are wrong..check your facts..AND BESIDES, he was saying the best team EVER , not since the eighties!! Sure the 49ers were the team of the 80s, the cowboys the team of the 90s Steelers team of the 70s...and MAYBE the team of this decade. If the Steelers win again in the next 2 years, THERE WILL BE NO ARGUMENT. Period!
chefgnome 3 years ago
when the steelers won 4 superbowls in the 70's. who else was around that was good? the undefeated dolphins where in 72. who else was around? Football began in the 80's. with Elway, Montana, Marino. Three of the top five QB's ever. not to mention more other players. so the Steelers beat NOBODY in the 70's. So yeah. im also talking best team ever. im not taking anything away from the steelers titles this decade. im talking all time. they beat no one before. Who hasnt lost in SB's? not Steelers
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
Marino never won a Super Bowl. Also..I think the Cowboys were pretty good at the time ..they had a guy named Roger Staubach..I am sure that was LONG before your time. So who was soooo god in the 80s that the 49ers beat..? Oh..the Cowboys maybe to get to the Super Bowl..GET OVER IT! 6 Super Bowls is ALWAYS better than 5 no matter how you slice it..Like I have said..if we get one or 2 more KISS IT GOODBYE!!
chefgnome 3 years ago
thats correct. and yet he ALWAYS gets ranked over Bradshaw who has four. and I know Staubach was there. so? he wont 2 SB's.
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
80's. thats why the greatest QB, HB, WR, DL, LB, and DB have all played in this era along with like almost all the top five's in those positions. this last thing is arguable. but the first three are FACTS
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
so Roethlisberger wont be either. #2. Not the greatest catch. anyone that actually watches football on a regular basis, sees this catch about 15 to 20 times in a season. last year's has only been seen ONE time. #3. last year's superbowl was to see a coronation of the greatest team ever, and we saw the biggest upset in history. So to this guy in the video, please WATCH FOOTBALL BEFORE TALKING. and #4. Steelers? not the greatest franchise ever. yes 6 SB's. But since football really began in the
Hfutbol8 3 years ago
oh my god this guy is a complete idiot.
Hfutbol8 3 years ago

It is Just a thought!
tiofelipe1987 3 years ago
Who would I rather have in the last two minutes - Big Ben or Manning? NEITHER! Tom Brady! Clutch as they come, and I know he didn't get it done in the last drive of SB 42, but he had less than 30 seconds, the drive before that he drove the team down to what was considered to be the game winning drive - that is until Tyree made "The Catch". If he is healthy nest season the Pats will be champs again.
CHarv24 3 years ago
damn it really sucks to be a browns fan, I gotta listen to this shit forever
to be honest though, mike tomlin is the fucking man
mcotleur 3 years ago
What some people miss regarding the Steelers is Cowher made it to the AFC Championship games with Kordell Stewert as Quarterback. Tomlin did it with the worst Offensive line in football. There is no way Walsh, Parcells, Belicheck, Landry, Shula, etc. do this . Also, Brady and Manning throw to thoroughbred receivers while Roethlisberger throws to a below average bunch of receivers. The Steelers do it thru the draft and emphasize physical intimidation. The Rooneys do not spend for free agents.
land4citizens 3 years ago
The Patriots* cheated the Cowher Steelers out of at least one Superbowl trip.
dkast5 3 years ago
Best play was the Eli Manning play last superbowl.
When he almost got sacked like 4 times.
Stevenio 3 years ago 2
If Harrison doesn't get in the Steelers get another play. Fitzgerald ran 40 yard out of bounds to avoid blockers then came back in at the 5 which would have been a penalty.
dkast5 3 years ago
wrong, rule is that after coming off the field you can't be the first to touch the ball. even if you weren't wrong, there was no flag thrown for fitzgerald so there wouldn't have been an extra play
mcotleur 3 years ago
No, you're wrong. When a player steps out of bounds he has to reestablish himself in the field of play which by rule is considered 15 yards of football action on the field of play. The half can't end on a defensive penalty and there was the facemask that was called anyway.
Its amazing to me how many people are whining about the refs in this game while ignoring flagrant non-calls or missed calls that went against the Steelers.
Losers whine. Winners get sized for rings.
dkast5 3 years ago
first off.....peyton manning is the best qb since elway or montana.....even though brady has more rings......big ben is clutch but that doesn't mean he is better.......peyton has WAY more comebacks than he does.....after saying all that i must admit the steelers are everything i wish my dallas cowboys were....tough,smart, and no drama.....when rooney shouted out to OBAMA i nearly jumped out of my seat.....that was unbelievably badass
jshooper 3 years ago

GstateBALLER925 3 years ago
Cenk ur crazy Peyton PEYTON PEYTON! is the greatest quarterback if he had that kind of defense Peyton would always have the ball and would throw for like 60 touchdowns. Big Ben is great but number one pick to start a franchise Peyton

SB wise they are the best team being that they had 6 titles but when you count the greatest football franchises, they come in the top 5. I was sayin they were going to the SB since week 5 or the reg. season. though.

Super bowl?
Yeah, I noticed this little article on the last page of the paper today....
but I guess that was only because this Roethlisberger guy had Swiss roots, because normally American Football is below the news radar here in Switzerland.

FattKidd 3 years ago 2
I hate the Colts with passion but Manning is clearly better than Ben. I would rate Ben right there with Palmer, Brees, Rivers and McNabb. All of them are elite QBs but Manning and of course Brady are way ahead of everyone else. It´s like comparing Dwyane Wade with Michael Jordan or Wladimir Klitscho with Muhammad Ali.
Eric0816 3 years ago
Steelers need to work on their short yard game Cenk. How many times were they in the red zone and had to settle for a field goal? They came through when it mattered. I give credit where credit is due, but they made that game much closer than it had to be.
CalexanderJ 3 years ago
There have definitely been better catches Cenk, just none as important and so clutch.
me213516 3 years ago
Gotta disagree w/ Cenk, Ben Roethlisbeger is an elite quarterback, no doubt about that, but Peyton Manning is a first ballod hall of famer. And as to who I would rather have with 1:30 left on the clock, you gotta go w/ Manning. But of course, we all know who the greastest quarterback playing today (and arguably all-time) is, none other than Tom Brady, "kiss the rings, bitch!"
potter651 3 years ago
Ben Roethlisberger is a first-ballot hall of famer too. He's one of the winningest quarterbacks ever. Championships get you there, much more so than stats. Ask Troy Aikman and Steve Young.
Brady isn't the best ever. There's no such thing as the best ever. After a while, you earn a place in the conversation, but that's about it.

bushhater99 3 years ago 2
The 2008 Steelers are better than the 2007 Patriots (chokers) and will go down as a historic championship team...one of the most dominant seasons by a defense since the '85 Bears, numerous big games won by last minute drives, hall-of-famers on the roster.
What were the two lucky plays, dear boy? Silly, silly hater.

Nothing even comes close IMO.

Actually I find that the Steelers had a lousy fourth quarter. They could have put that game away a few time but they needed a last minute TD to finish it,
madhi19 3 years ago
Best team ever? That just seems like an overstatement.
Were it not for that freak play the Cardinals would have won handily. I think Kurt Warner outplayed Ben and Fitzgerald was just as good as any of the receivers for the Steelers.
The Steelers didn't even have a spectacular record or anything... what's all the fuss about?
Napstrpsx 3 years ago
They were 12-4 this season, the only team that had a better record than them was the Titans. So that's certainly not a record to just turn your nose up at.
TokyoNiGHTS1 3 years ago
Warner had 3 more downs, he could have just as easily not thrown that pick. Additionally, Kurt Warner didn't outplay Ben; Warner made more completions but also had more turnovers. Finally, Ben was able to score in under 2 minutes.
The Cardinals also had serious penalty problems on both sides of the football.
On the Contrary, the Steelers have the best record in NFL history, they are the most successful franchise in the sport now. I'm a Bears fan, and I don't like it, but it's the truth.
mrbadguysan 3 years ago
He's talking about the franchise, not the 2009 Steelers. The record of the Steelers franchise is wild.
MissLyrical89 3 years ago
cenk, you don't know sports. or at least football because catches like that happen every week. clark's catch was spectacular because he went up and got a pass nobody thought he could get. holmes has made that same catch many times before. see the difference?

Totally, and James Harrison's cheap shots on that O-Lineman was just pure class. I am so glad the refs looked the other way, because he's a star, and they can do whatever they want.

Don't blame the refs. They called that penalty and the ones on Holmes and Taylor too. The refs didn't cause that 100 yard interception return.

Steelers deserved to win. They had the toughest schedule. They were all about business and not about drama like the Cowgirls always do. Steelers are the best, but I think Cardinals do deserve to be respected now as a good, elite team but only if Warner stays another year. Leinhart or whoever sucks.
