how cute when i was little my grandma had some chickens & hens and they constently layed eggs. my grandma let me take a cup & get some eggs too eat in the morning. i had too leave a egg, cause thair was not any room in the cup. soon it hatched in too a cute chick. then it turned into a sweet chicken.

i remember when i got my baby chicks the size of your palm when they were old enough started laying eggs but one day a fox came and ate them i only have 1 hen and 1 rooster but im getting and incubator like today or tomorrow and i cant wait until i put the chickens eggs in it and see them hatch :D:D

i took a very bright flash lite and the egg into a dark room. i think it's very young. my mom shook it. wen i shined the lite on it i saw a litle dot always floating 2 the top. is it dead or alive?

ok this crazy thing happened today! we have 18 chicks... 1 of them got away and ran into the woods... (one of the youngest) we spent hours looking for her. we eventually gave up and went inside waiting, and waiting. today we were cleaning out the coop. i was outside with the babies when all of a sudden, a little baby chick came up to me and waited for her feed!  TODAY WAS SERIOUSLY A MIRACLE!!! =}

Well think about a butterfly getting out of its cocoon. If it cant go out, then it will not have enough strenght to fly, and then it will drop and die.

I saw some baby chicks on tv a while ago and thought I'd love to have a pet chicken. I found out it's very easy to buy chicks, at almost no cost at all, but I'm afraid I might not look after them correctly, so I decided against it. They're so cute though :)

This may be a stupid question, but I don't know the answer to it so Ill ask. If you manually peel the shell off the egg while the Chick is hatching would it effect the chick in anyway?
