Sinatra criticised midget Dustin Hoffman when he insulted the Oscars but he nut hugs the big man, George C Scott who didnt even bother to show up, just like anybody else would.
@dovestones Dustin Hoffman is not a midget; he's only about an inch or two shorter than Sinatra. Kind of hypocritical for Sinatra to do such a thing anyways, but it's not as though it's news to me that Sinatra's morals and behavior were questionable at best.
Not sure I should be bothered to reply to this, but what the heck. A 'eulogy' is 'good words' for someone who is either deceased or retired. This was a eulogy - and/or a tribute if you like - but it was a eulogy nonetheless.
@ludocrat George C. Scott was neither dead NOR retired. So you're wrong on both accounts. This was from 1974, Scott would work for another 25 years until his death in 1999.
@ludocrat It's difficult to tell who you meant the "eulogy" to be for since it didn't really fit anyone. This was from 1974. James Cagney would make two more movies, one in 1981 (Ragtime) and one in 1984 (Terrible Joe Moran). So your suggestion of his death OR retirement were greatly exaggerated.
I don't think Sinatra would have been quite so cordial to Scott if he knew about him beating up Ava Gardner during their relationship. Or maybe he did?
He would have been perfect for the role of Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman.

The eulogy was FOR Jimmy Cagney given BY George C. Scott. Cagney WAS alive but HAD retired. Do pay attention.

Lol. I think that's enough split hairs for the time being, Malubay. Good research on your part, though. I rate that.

Cagney was amazing. George C. Scott was one of my favorites (especially in Patton and A Christmas Carol). Also like Gene Hackman.
