3: Lauren Faust, the creator of the show, wanted to make something better than just a "dull advert for a new line of toys" so she actually put some good plotlines and meaningful morals into the show

4: Just because it's about horses doesn't automatically make it a children's show that's gay.

2. Flash animation really isn't that good. In fact, it's incredibly easy.

3. Episodic shows like so can't have these deep intricate plots. Especially since I imagine there's nothing that actually carries on between episodes. Something happens, and the next episode, everyone doesn't remember it or never mentions it.

4. Uhh, it's a show about a line of toys for girls. It's a children's show whether or not you choose to believe that or not.

2. While that may be true in some cases, the animators for this show pay amazing amounts of attention to the tiniest details while animating.

3. While that's true for many cartoon shows (read: Adventure Time, Regular Show) this show is different. It has a specific continuity that it never breaks from.

4. The creators of the show designed this show for children to watch with their parents. Faust wanted this show to be watchable by both kids and adults.
