  • Why is this "God bring them home" ? the Movement isnt built on supersticous nonsense like Religion. Fuck God. Up the Republic

  • @WhereIsTheLine1 It is true that the P.I.R.A. was founded upon equality through the Protestants and the Catholics but that doesn't mean that religion does not have a strong founding within Ireland, far from it.

Say what you will, but the Republic is a very religious place and many find solace in praying to God. I'm not sorry if it bothers ye, let people be the way they are and believe in what they want to believe in. As long as we're all for the rights and freedoms of man, we're fine.

  • @nolanp01 not really mate, Religion is a stupid concept in general and in my eyes has slowed down the entire progress of humanity. epecially organised Religion. Especially their part in Ireland with the church controlling their flock by blackmailing them, threatening them with ex-communication, and guilt-tripping them with all the shit under the sun. I apologise if I don't share you love for this guy called " God ", But I've seen more evidence for leprechauns exisiting.

  • @WhereIsTheLine1

I can't argue with you on that, there is no evidence for God. Faith is faith and what churches do with faith is a whole different subject. Regardless of your views on religion and I respect them, it does have a say in the Republic. Granted much less in the North these days. What I was trying to point out though was nothing to do with opinion but rather fact. The movement as it were, was not based on God as it was not a 'holy war', but it was influenced by religion still.

  • @nolanp01 defiently, but that song should not be " God Bing them home " for 2 reasons; 1. its not called that. and 2. God's a lazy cunt

  • @WhereIsTheLine1

Aye, ye got me on the first point.

  • @WhereIsTheLine1 I myself don't believe in God, but the whole point in Religion isn't to have proof, it's all about the FAITH of a greater good, I definitely see where you're coming from though mate :)
