  • Theres a true point to the big cat sightings. People in the UK used to keep exotic big cats as pets until the dangerous animals act came into place. I don't know the full details as I wasn't born but from what I know there were licences and charges imposed so people let them loose to avoid paying. One farmer in monmouthshire claimed to have "crashed" his lorry full of cats as he was taking it to a zoo...

  • looks like dogs

  • Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • bollacks youll be laughing on the other side of your face when you discover there is actually large wild cats in the countryside - why make a mockery out of the issue? are you a government agent ?

  • brilliant mate, loved it, made me laugh so much, what a shame some people dont get the point to this video.

  • You know that happened to me once this parked car had the rear window open and I was driving my motobike past and this bloody big Greyhound juimped out the F****G window and knocked me off the bike....I am not joking I gave the owber of the car hell when I have recovered

  • @WELLBRAN suppose it was the dogs fault for not looking left and right.

  • Actually the footage you described taken by the cop in Scotland is really good, definitely something bigger than a normal moggie, the length of the cats tail and it's head size is just too big....love to see someone get some definitive footage, I think the thought of something truly wild and dangerous roaming the British countryside is appealing to most people, unless your a rambler who happens to smell of lamb hotpot, then maybe not ! Cheers !

  • I know the feeling exatcly, we were at an airshow a few years back and this Mig jet fighter came screaming out of nowhere right overhead and we just screamed like girls...the over-riding panic sensation was outrageous...hehe I can laugh now !

  • Actually if you listen carefully you just hear the poor guy rev the engine just a tad at the exact moment the dog appears....hehe..marvellous !

  • That was REALLY funny...haha ....I am laughing my head off...absolutely brilliant...hehe God bless you mate, cheers for making my day...just to say that you might not believe it now but you believed it was there then...at least for 5 seconds.....hehe fantastic

  • @Filthyfeltham23 glad someone saw it in it's true light. I had another one once in the Devon hills, a fighter jet roaring past, scared the absolute life out of me, sounded like a lion roaring and i "felt" it coming after me.

  • its that greyhound from steptoe and son the movie! haaaaaroolllllllld

  • ah yes the typical markings of all big cats in the wild....a dog collar

  • Absolute Giant Hamster on the loose

  • That is a dog, a bloody mongrel one at that!

  • It's a Greyhound!

  • where about in sussex are you?

  • its a grey hound u bell lol

  • its a dog......simple.

  • @JaseTheFaceHarper nowhere in the video did i say it wasn't, even simpler.

  • @svengalie The title to your video says "Big Cat Sussex". So yes, yes you did say it was a cat. Change the title of you video if you dont want to be ridiculed. The title should say "Dumbass gets scared by a dog and thinks its a big cat".

  • bell end !!!

  • That's My Dog!!! I've Been Looking For Him For Ages! If You See Him Hit Him Next Time, He Ate My Homework!!!

  • Im sorry but the sound of the bike would have scared it away and you talking soo fail

  • Theres been very good sightings that have gone unreported, I know of one from folks doing dog sleigin at night tha tspotted one, and a car that clipped one crossing a road, hairs were taken from car for analysing, dont know results yet but driver was who holidays in Canada said it was a puma / panther for sure

  • African wild dog

  • brindle lurcher,it looks just like my staffy x greyhound.

  • this is a copper on a bike you say, breaking the law enough times aint he! mind you always was one rule for them.....

  • If you know its not a cat OP why is the clip called Big Cat Sussex, go back to riding ure hairdryer

  • we stayed in a cottage in hastings and was sat outside one evening when we heard ahuge splash in the garden pond and looked round to see a black cat bigger than my dog ( a collie ) getting out and walking up the drive.

  • its even got a collar on...

  • lol jesus christ that scared the shit out of me

  • that's obviously some kind of dog like a greyhound. how many big cats have you seen with a snout an is that skinny?

  • @alexiscaille93 lol it's never been a greyhound. But it is indeed a dog, I never said it wasn't. Did you watch the video?

  • @alexiscaille93

Yeah, definitely canine...but there again, a very weird looking canine at that. I've not seen too many dogs look like that. Close to lurcher, similar in shape to greyhound...yet not quite either. The mind boggles as to what is running around out there.

  • My friends got chases about 2 hours ago by a big cat, i was there but i didnt go after me, it happened in some local wood in essex. unbelievable.

  • if i was going to bet, I'd say a fox........

  • helmet cams are great.@1:54 who is driving?lol.

  • Brindle lurcher and there are big cats ive seen one.

Scale gates and barns. Come on post some sense.

  • thats a dog

  • Quite a well regarded source is believed to have seen a big cat in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney last week in Australia...

  • God this makes me laugh so much!

  • ah right. where did you get the camera from to film that

  • thats a lurcher mate not a cat

  • @workingdogs4u I know. I didn't say it was a cat.

  • Bigs cats are real my clown. I have seen one in Berkshire, and no i was not mistaken about the size.

  • @sonofthedestroyer people sit and talk to invisible men in the sky all the time. So I'll grant you your fairytale. :-)

  • @svengalie,

You dont need to grant me anything.

  • @sonofthedestroyer Granted, I don't. Don't get upset, I put the smile at the end there to denote my tone.

People believe in fairies, goblins, ghosts, gods and all kinds of weird and wonderful bullshit. Doesn't bother me.

  • but of course -as a dog lover- im very glad you haven't hit it...

  • @bogi18 me too! One because I love all animals, two because it would bloody hurt!

  • I don't give a f*ck about the cat/dog but im loving this view of an english countryside lane!

  • its easy to see in the slow motion at the end, that its a whippet. a tortoiseshell one with white feet. duh.

  • pause at 7 sec its a lurcher or a whippet

  • nice place i dont care if was a dog or a cat

  • You got on that throttle fast as fuck!! hahaha

    What's DYS?

  • @Sirradal Do you see.

  • That was no dog... it was the CHUPACABRA!

  • @TheChinsky aww, why wont it let me "thumbs up" this comment?

  • That just looks like a dog to me

  • that'll be because it is a dog?

  • So you slowed down, looked down to your right before anything had appeared, sped off, then calmly suggested oh, might be a panther. Coincidental.

  • @ theoriginaloc wtf r u on bout?? u think he set that up?? haha ur a dick

  • protip: my eyes can move the camera can't

  • YeAH there was speculation here in Northren Ireland that some were spotted up in antrim, then up near portrush. Then one day somewere up near the ballysillin near my old school ione was spotted it turned out to be a dog! And years ago a lion or something escaped from Belfast Zoo but was found dead in the lion enclosure dead. But anyways I think it's people keeping them they get board of them or can't cope so they let them free.

  • when the dog came near lol

  • haha that's hilarious

  • sven

The road (lane) you are riding on in this vid: is it one way? Is it used by all types of vehicles? Public or private?

It seems like just a narrow paved path. Just who uses it?

    Dan

  • Where I live we had our 1st Puma sighting in over 30yrs... so a local hunter went out, shot and killed it. Sucks

  • Comment removed

  • it'd be plausible, i mean historically england used to have all these huge wild animals

  • @darkmetallica - its more recent than that. There was a change in law in 1976 which meant that owners of these pets had to have a licence etc. Many had their pets put down but its rumoured that some just turned them out into the countryside.

  • that would also make sense, ty.

  • lol i like how when you seen the dog you sudenly went to speed up :P

  • loool a random dog

  • Ahh! lol. what an unpleasant surprise!

  • haha great vid dude.

  • LOL this is funny!

  • It's always funny to hear what crazy fear-inducing stories are on the news in other countries. Thanks for the entertainment!

  • Hahaha, good stuff.

  • LOL lol lol lol when you said "jesus christ that scared the shit out of me" lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao so funny

  • This reminds me of the news last week in Oslo, Norway, where they said that there a Wolf spotted near the train station. It turned out to be an Alaskan Husky running around!

  • ahhaahaahahahha that dog!!!!!!!!

  • Yes! another off road vid keep them coming Sven!

    - Sheep

  • lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lmao haha u made me laugh mate LOL

  • greyhound cross most likely from local camp site

  • woof

  • oops sorry commented before saw the rest of the vid xD

  • looks more like a racing dog. but bet it shit u up ;]

  • Lol sven thought he was going to be mauled by a panther. : p

  • Those cats look dangerous and look like they can bite your head off. Don't let the size fool you.

  • wow, you kept it together there, i woulda been 5th gear wide open all the way back!

  • Love it when you Brits call Cat to everything from kittens to Panthers! LoL. Just another "escaped from circus and butchered an old lady" kind of urban legend crap. Speaking of witch... Hope you trashed your boxers when home :)

  • But...they're all part of the cat family? Even by dictionary definition?

  • No way, you actually had the trouble of looking it up? :)

good point, though I wouldn't call big dog to a wolf despite it IS a big dog :)

  • yeah man, part of the cat family. we dont call them cats. big cats maybe (if its an unknown species), until we know exactly what the big cat is

  • what kind of dirtbike do you have?

  • lol you sped up when you saw the dog

  • 3 times I almost runover cats during night ride, I cant understand why people can be so fuckin retards that they let out their animals alone. Not much fun when riding over 110kmh and then cat suddenly comes from nowhere and crosses the road so close.

  • nice road, looks like winter is closing up :(

  • I got chased by a badger once at night, I didn`t realise they would actually chase you !! lol It was bloody terrifying because I was too pissed to run properly lol I was about sixteen or something and I`ve never even seen a badger since...

  • wtf random dog

  • lol i was comming home from my friends house the other day and the same thing happened to me...but it was a squirrel, i still crapped myself though coz it was like 10 at night and i really wasn't expecting it XD

  • LOL attack of the squirrel =] I tend to find birds dive bomb for me...

  • lmao i can honestly say i've never had a bird attack me, although now you've said that the flocks of seaguls and stuff will be slightly more un-nerving lol

  • sven

You just get better and better.

    HasJuice

It isn't only the Brit accent that is so captivating for us Yanks to listen to: it is the always present CIVILITY in the speech no matter how dreadful the occasion.

We Yanks just do not have that "way of looking at life"!

Imagine talking like a Brit after having just wiped out on your bike. Not gonna happen.....here!

    Dan

  • BIG CAT SEX

  • Stupid dogs. I ran my neighbors dog over on my Suzuki DR-Z400 a few months ago. Stupid dog just ran right in front of me. I hate when animal just run out.

  • DAMMIT SVEN! You and your UK Accent, you're making me envious.

I've had so many friends from the UK in Eastleach, Oxford, etc etc. I even dated a girl from Carterton, I'm in Canada. I totally wish I had your accents. lmao

  • Whoa

  • LMFAO i woulda shit myself

  • "Big Cat Buttsex" That's why I watched this.

  • Omg i had a good laugh when you got scared. That was priceless

  • crazy...

one time as a kid, I rode my bicycle past this house with this gigantic black german shepard...fucker was right next to my bmx while I'm riding full speed down the road. he bit my shoe, got a hold of my shoelace, I looked down, my bike hit a rock and I went flying off it and did a nice 10-15 feet skid on the side of my butt on the road....that fucking german shepard!

  • Jesus...saw that freaking dog and it scared the sh*t outta me. First thought was "gun it!!"

We have a lot of cougar sightings around here. When I say a lot, I mean one or 2 a week. Apparently they are stalking children at schools and playgrounds.

  • Dog liked you. That's because you're too cure for a biker :)

Isn't it cold for a bike, I know KTMs have nut-heaters but still... :) :P

  • sven you have to tell me how you could ride and still see with those news pages coming up infront of your face! LOL im only jokin

  • Still, I find the dragons scariest.

You guys still have dragons over there right?

  • lol that was funny

  • Hahaha! Very good! I get those now and then! 5*

  • Ha ha it was only a pup. Good job it wasn't my boy "Bruce" 8st Rottie. I got bitten on the arse as a kid by a stffy as i rode passed it. That hurt lol

  • Well I can tell from posts who all doesn't live in a rural setting where these are common place.

Welcome to Iowa, the place were you're up at 5am, head outside and find a cougar is stalking you from your own roof.

The cat in your vid link isn't a puma, it's far too small and that tail is too long to be a pure bob.

  • i love how scared you got it was funny

  • We had sightings of a big cat around here a few years ago.. people thought it was a panther. Turns out it was just a Pretty big (not panther sized) Feral housecat. hmm.

  • That's the Yeti Lion Dog of Sussex Sven, he eats motorcycles!!!

  • just for little moment there, i was sure you were going to hit it.

  • If you get chased by a big black panther then your video would be a huge hit .. if you make it back to post it! Scary stuff....

  • eh isn't that a dog?

  • i nearly had heart attack, and was the footage on the railway in scotland, coz ive stayed in a house bout a mile away from wer it was, quiet scary if u think bout it

  • waahh, big cat^^

  • yea I don't reckon thst big cat really live here (except in zoos lol) after all wouldn't they kill kids and such?

  • i love it how you are able to make fun of yourself. you're one great guy! i was riding to work earlier this year and when i looked up there was a f'ing deer running along aside me for a good 100 feet before peeling off. i dont think alot of animals know what to make of us on our bikes...i think alot of them think we are animals.

  • i think ive seen a big cat in wales jumping over somthing hige

there was an artical on our local newspaper

and two HORSES were killed by some big cat this was all in wales

  • lol i love you hear the bike rev and you floor it when u realise the beast is after u lol

  • yes, we had 2 big cats where i live, and i saw them both... this was about 6-9 years ago when i saw them... Im still scared nowadays... Uuuh, there was a Lynx that loads of people saw alot, me about 4 times, once very near my house... Then a black panther, very skinny... Once via some binoculars, but very obvious against the hedge and the way it moves, and another time by a lake about a mile away from my house with a friend... Trust me, i never been so scared and run so fast! Shudder...

  • i once saw zeus, apollon, artemis, athena in the mountain of olympus in greece.i didnt see posidon cause he was on vacation.

  • There are supposidly sightings of one in my area (suffolk) but i dont think its true.

  • I correct myself, there actually was one but it was shot dead in 1991, just outside beccles.

    Mega!

  • Subconsciously you must believe in the big cat sightings at least a little. Otherwise seeing the dog out of the corner of your eye wouldn't have given you that nice adrenaline rush. ;^)

  • supposedly there are giants in north england.

  • @hippykiller1 And supposedly there are dragons in Wales!!!!!

  • you shit in pants :D

  • when you see that :))

  • aint that a staffordshire bull terrior

  • Big cat... o come on, thats allot of bogus.

We had the same report last year about a Cougher. No real evidence was found what so ever to back it up. but the reports kept coming in.

  • i hope u didnt just take ur hands off the handle bar

  • Rofl thank you for giving me a laugh, if only you had a camera positioned to catch your facial expression!

  • lmao you big girl.

  • i wont be sarcastic this time svengalie ;)

  • it's a short haied Lurcher.... lol.. i think it was running away from the Panther!!!! lol
