Dubstep is running tings yeah but don't hate on people who worked hard in the Underground Sound. Dubstep Producers are remixing MJ Coles garage tunes all the time. What does that tell you?

This documentary is like 10 years too late! WTF. What is the point in describing UK Garage when no one makes it anymore. The scene is ABANDONED. Whatever they call UK Garage now, isn't. UK Funky, Grime, Dubstep are offshoots, or cheap, amateur knockoffs, but they are not the same.

UK Garage died by 2004, with probably only MJ Cole still releasing stuff, and now he's gone to the dubstep side coz he has to eat and pay bills!! UK Garage won't ever come back (as good as it was). Don't be so naive!

but it has definitely decreased in popularity..that is ever since Dubstep became popular

UKG started to die when 1) it went commercial in 2000, 2) when he big producers left or went quiet (tuff jam, ramsey and fen, etc), 3) when grime producers came in, and crews came in (so solid, etc). So UKG died about 2003 and was on life-support from 2001. Long before Dubstep.

I've always wrestled with liking and hating UK Garage; I always thought it sounded a bit 'girly'. I liked where it was going in late 2002, just before "grime" became popular. I still don't think that you could ever beat early jungle music.
