and dese man on da vid tryna act like kl. like garage is styll big blud. dese man have gotta move on. not many people knw who dey r anymore nd if datz not right give 5 - 10 years nd dey will be forgotten. dey need 2 move on 2 da new sound of london underground nd start wid da dubstep etc.. W3 ALL DAI
@Serbkid16 by the way you talk your obviously a twat, there wouldnt be no grime or dubstep without uk garage, grime is shit anyway the only people who listen to it are waste man wannabes riding around on bmxs thinking they are dark spitting shit out of time lyrics about a life they dont live to the tinny sound of a mobile phone mp3s.
You youts have no idea, garage still has its followers and a new breed of talented artists, i too am a dubstep fan but how can u say these guys are nobodies? ejat
And you're not trying to act cool at all are you "blud", with that "I'm 14 and haven't got a clue about music, bt cn type lyk dis coz itz bad innit blud" attitude.
Are you even vaguely familiar with ANY of the acts named or appearing in the video? Probably not, because if you were you'd understand that the majority of the people in this video created the foundations of the music you listen to, UKG still has a MASSIVE following throughout the UK, so STFU "BLUD"
@Serbkid16 What are you talking about you mug, MJ Cole will never be forgotten, Dubstep only exists because of UK Garage. Dubstep is running tings yeah but don't hate on people who worked hard in the Underground Sound. Dubstep Producers are remixing MJ Coles garage tunes all the time. What does that tell you?
@Serbkid16 wouldn't be no dubstep without garage, trying to act cool? how, you major tit? they started their own scene, spread the love and kept it fresh and from the soul. You absolute mug.
and dese man on da vid tryna act like kl. like garage is styll big blud. dese man have gotta move on. not many people knw who dey r anymore nd if datz not right give 5 - 10 years nd dey will be forgotten. dey need 2 move on 2 da new sound of london underground nd start wid da dubstep etc..
bruv grime nd dubstep r live because u dnt fall asleep listenin 2 it. it keep ur adrenalin runnin constntly nd da genres dnt care if the reputation is gd or bad/ crime invaded or friendly honest music,
but the fact is that grime nd d.step reprsnt youth nd gritty estates nd youths wid dis bakground like da music cause it expreses dem
and da 1s dat r rich 4 e.g. want 2 be like dem cause it da 1 ting dey cnt be/hndle/hav(like itz enjoyable ungreatful c**tz only i could swap wid dem lool) NO HATE
@Serbkid16 Can't you fucking spell? Im from a grimy council estate and I listen to Grime, Garage, Dubstep and Drum and Bass too. But you don't see me talking like a fucking idiot XD seriously why make yourself look dumb?
@lexsoOr That was well after garage was in its prime. Garage was in its prime between 1995-99 anything that came out in the 00's was shit i.e so solid lol mike skinner etc
whats garage the name for shit noise played and called music by cunts, and that twat who siad it was a fussion of jazz blues stfu you prick, how can you say theres any REAL music in this fuckshit
This documentary is like 10 years too late! WTF. What is the point in describing UK Garage when no one makes it anymore. The scene is ABANDONED. Whatever they call UK Garage now, isn't. UK Funky, Grime, Dubstep are offshoots, or cheap, amateur knockoffs, but they are not the same.
UK Garage died by 2004, with probably only MJ Cole still releasing stuff, and now he's gone to the dubstep side coz he has to eat and pay bills!! UK Garage won't ever come back (as good as it was). Don't be so naive!
@xXKyotachiXx Are you serious? UKG started to die when 1) it went commercial in 2000, 2) when he big producers left or went quiet (tuff jam, ramsey and fen, etc), 3) when grime producers came in, and crews came in (so solid, etc). So UKG died about 2003 and was on life-support from 2001. Long before Dubstep.
I've always wrestled with liking and hating UK Garage; I always thought it sounded a bit 'girly'. I liked where it was going in late 2002, just before "grime" became popular. I still don't think that you could ever beat early jungle music.
What s the tune at the end anyone? P.s decent docu :)

@Aexexx It's an important historical record. A bit like all the old-school hiphop documentaries out there.

@Aexexx ahh Mj Cole Still does Garage, so does Todd Edwards and some other folks I know which I can't name..
but it has definitely decreased in popularity..that is ever since Dubstep became popular
