  • Wish I could play my classical but the damn Savarez 6th E's are always first to bust.

I always buy another pack just for the E and now I have a few packs all missing E's.

What gives? Love the strings but the E's need work!

  • I use La Bella. My new string of choice.

  • How did you find out that Tarrega didn't use nails? I'd alays assumed he would have. How is your tremolo without nails? Thanks for the previous reply.

  • Is there a reason that you play without fingernails. I know that Fernando Sor also played without the nails, are there any other well known classical guitarists that play without fingernails?

  • I began classical study using nails. After reading a treatise on guitar by Fernando Sor I reflected on his opinions concerning tone. After some experimentation I decided that I agreed with Sor and made the change. There were definitely some set backs that I'm finally overcoming but I feel it was well worth it.

Sor was definitely the biggest proponent of nail-less playing. Tárrega places second in terms of internationally known composer/performers who did not use finger nails.

  • Thank you, it is well worth the effort. I find now that this version might be a little fast, so I have been going a little slower.

  • Well done, Gregor. It is not an easy piece. The left hand is difficult.

  • Nice :)

But i dont like so much Adelita of Tarrega, i prefer Lágrima for example... I dont know so what is that... but your version is pretty :)
