Seriously, I remember spending years trying to beat the damn game and when I finally did I was very disappointed. The castle bit was great, but it just all went down hill from there.

I remember getting all the way to the end and you go to the gate but you needed a pass port and the freaking guard arrests you! That SUCKED!!! Some guy from school told me to pray 100 times at the temple and yea it worked. But who in their right mind would think of that? I was not happy with the ending either... So short...

Man, back in 92 or whenever it was I was playing this game, my Dad and I could never find the final map to get out of the castle. I don't know what it was I had to do since you can do them in almost any order, except I think there were two maps you have to get by looking at the clock. I don't really remember.

I think that's because it wasn't really an Alex Kidd game to begin with. For some odd reason, Sega decided to take an unrelated game called "Anmitsu Hime", and turned it into this for outside Japan.

Any chance u could do a video of playing the whole game? Or even just from when u get into town... i always got stuck... never could figure out how to get past the guards... One day my older brother was playing one day and all of a sudden someone offered him their pass, but he doesn't know how... he got arrested though cause he also had the fake pass on him or something... I'd love to see how u were meant to play it out :) Thanks

There were three ways you could get the "Pass"...if you prayed 100 times at the Shrine you eventually were rewarded with a Pass (I know this sounds like a typical fake cheat but it was true...you just would walk up to the shrine, leave, and walk back in again 100 times and you got rewarded for praying)...the other ways were if you cleared the Ninja Forest with 100% accuracy and killed all ninjas- all the gold would be enough to but a Pass

There where so many strange things to do in this game that made like noooo sence at all, but thats what i liked about it.

Remember the time when you have to remember the names of all the twins in the castle.

At the time i played this game my english was really bad..cuz i was like 10.

Anywas, i got it right the 1st time just by guessing...
