@SeanieBlahBlah unfortunately I just use my crappy laptop webcam. It's a pain in the arse. One day I'll get a real camera and achieve... exactly the same thing, with a worse complexion.

@OpheliaDagger Ah yeah that's another option too ^^, I found a really cool lens that does well in low light, and it's only 70 pounds. I don't have that at the moment but in lens terms, that's cheap! Gonna get it in the new year cause my country's dark and miserable for 6 months of the year. I won't have to get up at like 10am to film anything :D It's an investment!

I've been doing some research, comes down to buying a good one I probably won't utilise effectively, or a cheaper [still not cheap] one that will essentially look the same quality online. And I know! - there's like a 4 hour window of light at the moment, you know, after you have slowly woken up and stared at a wall for a fair while.

@OpheliaDagger It's a Canon 550d. I'm slowly getting better with it :) Like you said, still haven't utilised all it's various functions fully but I'm getting there!

But for someone with an MA in film making I know relatively little, I suspect a far as I'll ever be concerned all of the Canon range will be equivalent to each other. If I get one I may occasionally erroneously comment on your videos asking for technical device ;)

Whilst it must be great to have been on youtube for ages and have loads of commenters, I'd hate to not be able to find the people I know from each video :)
