  • THEY ARE BLACK = WORTHLESS AND THEY ARE NOT JEWISH.

FIGHTING BACK IS THE WAY TO CORRECT THIS RACIST PRACTICES

  • WHY DO BLACK ATHLETES AND THE REST OF THEM DUMB ATHLETES. CANT FIND YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN BUSINESS GUYS TO GET BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS OR TEAM UP WITH HIM , CREATING AN INDUSTRY THAT YOU COULD PUT IN THE HOOD AND EMPLOY OUR PEOPLE THAN PUT MORE MONEY INTO WHITE COMPANIES THAT WANT THE HOODS MONEY BUT NO OBLIGATION TO IT. FOR THAT I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEM AND I HOPE THEY GO BROKE AND DIE PENNYLESS

  • Though personally I don't agree that Watkins shouldn't have used Brandon Jennings as an example (see slius2000's quote) or just Black athletes in particular, I wholeheartedly agree with the fact that NCAA "student" athletes should be paid. He is dead on when he says that the only thing separating the NCAA from professional sports leagues is that the athletes aren't paid their worth! At many schools elite athletes aren't paid even a fraction of what the colleges make off them!

  • American colleges and universities put too much money into college sports and not enough into other areas of education.

  • @ndc18 They need to answer that question.

  • Dr Watkins dont you think every body should get an education no matter what race?

  • i agree.. BUT the students are the ones that commit to a school.. they know that they arent gonna get anything but tv time out of it.. most skilled players dont end up graduating so the 1yr outta hs rule is basiclly a corrupt way for the ncaa to funnel the best players into their system... hopefully more young players skip college and play overseas for that year so the ncaa will no longer have the best players in that age group.. 18 is an adult.. adults get paid for work...

  • your a professor????? What about the athletic trainers?????? Should they be compensated?????your an idoit you're definetly not a professor, do you have a deep thought in your head, it's clear that you do not, you go to school to get an education, there are various people willing to help out athletes on campus with their school work, while athletic trainers aren't compensated for their time spent, i've never seen a man consistently repeat his ideal over and over again like that, ridiculous

  • I didn't know Universities are corporations. They make money, yes, but the money has to go to a lot of places to keep the school alive.

I agree that every black man should get an education, so should every white man. I hate racism!

  • well put, short and sweet

  • If I step back and take an overall look at the NCAA and their players/students, I have to agree with. Everyone, but the players gets any benefits. As a parent of a college student, it is difficult to get your kids though school.

As for the player you mentioned. As long as he is mentored in finances and in his future education that works well for me. Because on the other side, people looking to make a buck off this young man will be lurking in the shadows.

  • man i hoop in college n i agree.. im not good enuff to play over seas yet bt let that man eat.. he jus wanna hoop n feed his fam

  • word up ma dude

  • brandon jennings past it the second time but he already made his decision

  • yeah fried chicken!

  • AND WATERMELONS!

  • its a fact that your mom love black athletes that why you hate on em'. get a life cheery redneck.

  • and malt liquor and i'm not even white retard

  • @billconners FUCK YOU!!!! KKK is waiting for you.

  • Let me tell YOU how it is. Brandon Jennings went to Europe because he couldnt pass the damn entrance exams. Please, Dr. Boyce, dont act like he had a choice in this. We're talking final option here.

  • he was going either way , test was just a liable excuse , he secluded at a private school, to step his grades up and you think he can't pass some entrance exam step into the real world

  • Well, unlike you I dont create my opinions out of thin air, I use facts, and here is one: He took the test 3 times, failed twice and made the decision to go to Europe before receiving the results of the 3rd test.

Now, would YOU like to step into the real world??

  • incorrect. first of all, it's impossible to fail the SAT. the first time he took it, he did not score high enough to qualify for his scholarship. the second time he took it, he DID score high enough to qualify for his scholarship, but his score was so much higher than his first score, that the NCAA required him to take the test a third time.

Jennings "passed" the SAT - ie scored high enough to be eligible for a scholarship - two out of three times.

    You were wrong, you animal.

  • @silus2000 you sound silly do you know how many illiterate atheletes are in college. if a university wants you they will have you pass an entry exam in order to make millions of dollars. Do your history

  • @qbezee Colleges don't manipulate SAT scores.
