Ms. Kerry, you have an exquisite and cristal clear voice that makes listening to this standard a new experience. I have heard Patti LuPone and Ute Lemper sing this live, and I sure wish I could hear you interpret this immortal Weil song live, as well. Comparisons are always hateful. Therefore, I preffer to think of you as someone with a unique talent and voice, akin to no one. Keep doing what you do and please upload more videos!
I've been in love with this song forever, and it's a joy to listen to a singer who not only has a lovely voice, but who understands the lyrics and tells the story of this beautiful song.
Yall, if you don't go out and buy this CD, then I don't know what. It is GORGEOUS in the beginning, middle and end. The quality of production, THAT orchestra, Her voice, performance, interpretations, come together to make an offering of Ms.Ford as the best exponet of Weill to date. (Even her photographs are beautiful,so when you're listening you can actually see an artist who knows what she's doing.)Be careful, though, I couldn't get this song off my brain for days.
she gets this just right.

A first rate interpretation of a classic that deserves more attention. Kudo's also to the piano work.

Her version of this is my fave. Something about the way she climbs INSIDE the lyric makes me all achy and winsome.
Exsquisite.

Annie sings like she has since she was a gal in ballet school in DC emulating Judy Garland.
-an old school chum.

If there is a lovelier song than this, I can't think of it.
And one more thing: A perfect marriage of singer and accompanist.

Sensational. Elegant. Sophisticated. The best interpreter of Weill today. Just beautiful.
