  • Tabbing his playing must be a nightmare.

  • 56 people haven´t lived a truly day in the life...

  • I'm going to see him live tomorrow and i can't wait!! :-)

  • Awesome!

  • wtf...

  • Naaa genial!!!

  • I do believe that's the wonderful Jennifer Batten playing back up on this number. She's well capable of doing something like this herself no question. This is wonderful music.

  • very nice

  • would have been good without Beck

  • He will be making elevator music next, this is drivel go out and write a song, oh you did -hi ho silver lining, great if youre a younf farmer!

  • I can not believe how there are people who have no consideration in musical appreciation. I feel sorry for these 56 people, who have no musical culture.

  • @Mogrid100 I saw Jeff live last night.. What a delight. He is an amazing guitarist & I loved every single second of his pure genius guitaring.. F@#$ the 56 zero music culture vultures.. They know not of what they speak.. ;-)

  • Ironically he openly disliked "Sgt. Pepper" when it came out 1967.

  • THIS IS AMAAAAAZING!!!!!

  • i saw jeff beck's concert recently and when he played this it blew me away. it was so amazing.

  • this is just beautiful.amazing how he plays with the dynamics

  • I would say that if you cover the Beatles you better have something to say .... and .... whilst I don't think Jeff Beck is taking this piece to a new place I do like what he has done and admire his craft .... I added to my favs - thanks Jeff, you done good

  • Jeff Beck was and is the Master!

  • @Loewra827 Drummer is Andy Gangadeen.

  • i like how he throws his guitar at the end.

  • What kind of picking style is this ?

  • @1942JIMI

    Just with your thumb

  • i love jeff keep it up

  • why we need a lead singer?

  • That was bad ass !!

  • OMG he made me cry lol i love jeff

  • wonderful jeff beck excellent

  • 6 cordes vocales !

  • Sooooooo under rated- get a copy of "it gets us all in the end" and listen to the opening guitar- quite something!

  • Saw him in Melbourne the most talented guitarist today imo

  • 1:35 OMG it says "LOVE" , actually !!!! the guitar ! OMG!

  • The drum part is hopelessly cliché, Jeff did it good but he did make the ending notes too short and then it lose all the psychedelic theme of the song

  • Saw him at Crossroads in Chicago.....he was the best guitat slinger there.........

  • awesome video!!!!

  • Oh well ... nice

  • great cover,greatest maybe...

  • Technique is so fine. He makes it look easy just to mess with those of us who can only watch in awe....

  • this is amazing

  • I watched this whole video with my mouth wide open.

  • Jeff Beck meets the Beatles. It can't get any better than this.

  • Just listen to the the shit that is out there. X factor ... ......... ..... where is this going, justin bieber, no soul, give it a chance.

  • ich...don't dare mention gilmore in the same breath... invention and creation are somewhat different than..copy or.repetition..... this rendition is horseshit.

  • This is Jeff FUCKING Beck!!! Not the hack Hendicks!!

  • @nuendo2496 go fuck your self ...child

  • Boy oh boy so moving, soulfull, nostalgic. Jeff my god.

  • I'll be when Jeff Beck and David Gilmore go to sleep at night they dream about each other's impeccable tone and intuitively tasteful, inventive playing!

  • it can be faster,it can slower..But Better!!! I don't think so...

  • 2:12 what a bassline.

great version of a fantastic song.

  • Amazing.

  • Grande Jeff tocando musica de Lennon-McCartney

  • This is just fantastic.

Great phrasing, great tone and the shaping of the notes is unuiqe and sound fantastic!

    3:42

That actually reminds me of Shawn Lane, I'm sure he was inspired by Jeff Beck.

I'm seeing this man live in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to it very much!!

  • its like he's writing a story with the guitar.

  • rare to take a Beatles song and make your own magic with it- he does here- how brilliant to do it without words- the listener adds them in his/her own mind.

  • love that knee move at the end

  • Jeff cant help but to amaze a little bit more each time I revisit him a shear Spray of Brilliance.

  • F amazing !

  • He's ok I guess

  • god, he was so young

  • jeff .....stop with the coke!!

  • impressing

  • Wow he actually makes the beatles sound not boring. Amazing tone

  • the best version of this is from toyko japan 6-2-99 on you tune

type in a day in the life japan

  • Such a fantastic player!

  • This is some awesome playing! Gives me goosebumbs and inspiration!

  • Theee most unique take on the guitar. He seems to integrate volume tone trem etc like no other.

  • He has been my favorite guitarist since I was 12, I'm 54 and have seen him 12 times live.

Beck will always be the best.

  • there is nothing to be said

  • there's playing the music you love ,and loving the music you play , BECK loves the music he plays thats why he puts so much into it, and why we all get so much out of what BECK puts in. jj7

  • What!..............................?

  • this is incredible.

  • When it was Clapton, Page and Beck (or Beck and Page), Eric peaked almost at the end of Cream, and was " British Blues Giant" and, of course, "god." Page was blowing an unsuspecting public's brains to the shredder with Led Zeppelin I, and Beck? Didn't really follow him, but he'd turn up in the strangest places -- jazzy, "fusion" things, throwing himself at locomotives, succeeding just once, when his lower left leg was crushed by the train and his foot was amputated as soon as the pus was squirti

  • @DottieSnee Hilarious Non-Truths! Don't quit your day job.

  • Holy shit, that was awesome!

  • One of my favourite Beatles songs played by one of my favourite guitarists - combining the two is sweet musical alchemy!

  • Did i see him throw his guitar on the floor right at the very end of this vid??? 5:02

  • @thinwire OMG your right! Why??

  • @cincinnatisaxman no idea!? I didn't know he was the guitar tossing sorta guy! :)

  • @thinwire ..he tossed it ..lol

  • Love the bit at 4:47 :D

  • awesome sound, great.

  • Definitivamente la interpretación original es Mítica (The Beatles), pero esta esta mas o menos, ....

  • Thank you for this my Angel.

  • See, I told you so.

    There are really Angels, remember.

  • a Wish...

  • jeff back is in that very rare calibre of guitarists (along with jimmy page, george harrison and david gilmour) whose talent is based more on creating great music rather than showboating technical skills - i personally think coming up with good simple melodies is harder than pushing technical limits. well done.

  • NOBODY has shit on Jeff Beck!

  • @420michelob I do

  • @420michelob i agree 100%!

  • @420michelob the beatles do

  • @420michelob he might be awesome dude but he is an old man which for me is cheesy as fuck but he can play like really play

  • @BEATLEJEWZ Jeff Beck is one of te greatest guitarist of al time

  • @BEATLEJEWZ I'll take this "cheesy OLD man" over any young guitarist of today............

  • @Yardbird68 yeah man so would i he is one of the greatest white guitarists of all time but when the blackman comes into it he gets left for dead .. one word ... Hendrix

  • @BEATLEJEWZ actually you got that backwards........Jeff left Hendrix for "dead"............since Jimi has not been around for over 40 yrs!

  • @Yardbird68 hendrix been dead a very long time but he would still woop jeff becks old ass even at the level jeff is at now the hendrix 39 years ago would of .... still killed him on the spot in A Guitar duel

  • @BEATLEJEWZ LOL!! What if? you speak of, a young Hendrix wooping an old ass Jeff. They were about the same age, if Hendrix didn't die it would be two old asses dueling, lol! I like both, each does their own thing very well, Jeff has always been an accomplished player using a slide, Jimi didn't hardly ever use a slide ( that I can remember ). But actually, who cares who can whip whos ass!! I guess you do. I somehow think Jimi if alive would aslo feel about it.....WHO CARES!!! its all good!!!

  • @420michelob what about eric clapton and jimmy page?

  • @rego1100 What's the difference?

  • @420michelob Except the BEATLES.

  • Best cover ever, nothing else to say.

  • it's like The Beatles met Jimi Hendrix

  • @Suryavideo I would have said it's like The Beatles met Jeff Beck, but that's fine too :P

Hendrix was a sonic artist first, using a guitar as his paintbrush. Listen to Machine Gun live and you'll see what I mean.

  • @Suryavideo they have!! HAHA

  • @Suryavideo its like the beatles meet Jeff...

  • @Suryavideo and Zakk said Amen to that my brothers..

  • Great, claps!

    Recording quality's play.

  • Just too bad, the audience is dead.^^

  • I play this song everyday (Ignoremywords) on acoustic using mostly chords and can sing both John & Paul's parts. Not hard to do at all! JB plays every nmote and nice going 'Tal"~~

  • weird drum set but so freaking dirty

  • JB THE BEST

  • If that doesn't bring a tear to your eye...then you aren't alive...

  • he is one of the few greats that wasn't taken away from us. Its nice to still hear some actual music coming from someone.

  • @osufootball09 totally right...god listen to this, real pure talent !!

  • How many songs are so distinctive you can name them in 4 notes?

  • What a feeling for the piece.

  • I think he should play bohemian rhapsody

  • Good tune!

  • the begining was kind of slow... but after 1 minute.. wow.. beautiful version...

  • intro was brilliant :)

  • im playing this at a recital soooo psychedd!!

  • the beatles are great and everything, but jeff's version speaks to me so much more than the b's version

  • master of the stratocaster

  • and they call Eric Clapton God?

  • They call Jimi Hendrix god and Clapton Slow hands!

  • @Mrhellsy hahhaha fast = better = belief of a moron that has no musical knowloedge

sadly music fan are just casual listeners they think they know it all

  • @hayabusfmw, If you claim to have massive musical knowledge yes? then you would also say that it doesn't matter who is better or faster or slower or whatever. Its the music that counts not this Right and wrong, bad and good just diffirent shades of colour.

so who is the moron now ass cakes?

Now please insult me some more.... go on!

  • Maybe but Beck is better then clapton by far.

  • If it's Hendrix, Tony Iommi, Brian May, David Gilmour playin our reaction is WOW bcos they're all talented, but this performance knocked me for $ix

    Thanks for sharing :))

  • this is amazing

  • Love the bass at 2.12+. Great Video.

  • This is fucking powerful! Who the fuck is steve vai and his shitty fast shredding!?

  • @terryfrancisfrench steve isnt known to be a "shredder", maybe malmsteen wouldve been a better choice...

  • simply beautiful & emotional

  • dude, the beginning sounds JUST like the guitar for Brother in Arms :O (i mean the way it sounds, of course).

  • What control!

  • perfect

  • hi sam

  • usually when people try to improvise legendary songs like stairway on a different instrument, it usually sucks. but i wouldn't expect that to come from jeff beck though :)

  • Beck is great !!!

  • Bewck demuestra que ser un buen músico, intérprete y guitarrista no quiere decir tocar la mayor cantidad de notas en el menor tiempo.

  • beck exudes emotion

  • hell yes he does!

  • I think I'm the only one

    but this bassplayer sucks

    comparising to Tall..

i know, this is about Jeff Beck

    he's f*cking awesome

    as always

  • racist

  • Theres only one Jeff Beck, he got his own sound.. Unique - Legendary :D

  • @MysteryHunterz tone is in the fingers

  • @arsenalfanforlife

I have to disagree. Tone is deffinately Not in the fingers. Ever heard of Django Reinhardt? he played with just 2 fingers, hell I know a guitar player who plays with his feet and I can tell you he plays alot better than U2's guitarist.

Tone, Blues, Music in general It is in our hearts, in our soul.

  • @MysteryHunterz yeah, but have u ever heard anyone with tone like bb king, his vibrato gives him the sickest tone

  • @arsenalfanforlife

B.B. king is quite alright, not as good as he used to be, at least thts how I feel.

Yet the tone of a vibrato does not only come with the technique of your fingers. If you don't put passion into tht one note, you won't get the tone that makes people cry, laugh or just shiver.

  • @MysteryHunterz true true

  • @MysteryHunterz well, BB King might not be as good as he used to be, but thats alright, considering how old he is right now!!!! most musicians would've retired decades earlier but he's still jammin' the blues, mate.

  • @MysteryHunterz Yeah man i dig his style very trance like!

  • Ma perchè non l'ho conosciuto prima?

    Ma suona sempre così?

    E' un Figo!

  • beck is the man!

  • that was great

  • I recently finished a new composition as a tribute to Jeff Beck.

New track can be located on Internet under... Pi Thor Project.

    Its called Beckn for Pi

-let me know what you think.

    -enjoy

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • seeing this...i only can think how fucki... great the beatles were

  • i think that's one of the best "a day in the life" from jeff beck...

  • What a tribute to John, Paul, George & Ringo!

  • He did this at the 2009 RRHOF concert. Just great!

  • one of the best guitarists ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best songs ever written in my opinion

  • i must say, this comes very close to beating the original, but just not quite! FUCKING AMAZING ANYWAY!

  • master of the guitar

  • Unbelievable performance way to go Jeff

    Awesome guitar work

  • I personally do not like this performance of this song. If you want a great version check it out when he plays with Tal Wilkenfeld at Ronnie Scotts jazz club. I believe its ten folds better than this performance.

  • You personally could not play shit.

  • take your racist shit and your prejudices and fuck off where you belong - beyond the realm of music and art!

  • I stand by my statement ...lets see some of your artistic genius on video.

Go do the down-ward dog on your old ass granny BITCH!!

  • Beck in top form

  • "Sometimes Jeff Beck finds notes that I do not have on my guitar."

    - Ritchie Blackmore

  • What an unbelievable statement! Awesome!!!!
