this game is atleast a 100 times better with the speed set to 100, no problem with jumpers then, straight cash with kobe's sweet medium to slow jumper. Steph Curry has got a nice medium to quick jumper too

its a video game, the REAL players sometimes change-up their shot a bit depending on the situation!

They need to fix the dribbling mechanics to..Cuzz that Analog s**t just aint working...Its inconsistent...I watch sum ppl on the net play 2k and i dont see no more den 2 or 3 cross overs the whole game..Its just 1 man trying to run pass the next in the game..But when you watch ppl play live alot of cross overs happen...They nexxt to change the dribbling i understand they wanna have it where you can take any kind of shot or whateva dribbling move you want but its uncomfortable to the thumbs....

here are some things the game needs to improve....

1) fluency in jumpshots

2) help D

3) defending oops and anything in the paint

4) many travels that arent called

5) lebron and kobes shots are nothing like they really are

6) paint

7) better commentary

8) no bigman taking and making 3s

and those arent even all of them. those were just off the top of my head, its a great game just needs a whole lot of improvement in the little areas. they try to be really flashy but they need to work on basics.

HEY!! i think i figured it out...when i was practicing on 2k10, i found that when u hold the shoot button while doing the step back, he pulls up right after the move, so he gets the shot off a lot quicker. but u still have to time the release tho...and i have NOT tried this with Kobe, i did it with Melo..try it and tell me what you think.

you gotta admit tho, this is one of the best realistic NBA expeirences on the market from animations to pregame rituals to shots to actual gameplay. And please can somebody tell me where people are complaining so much about all these "apparent" problems in this game? I got it yesterday and have not witnessed anything other than a freeze in the 3rd quarter and the coach settings not saving.

Live did a great job on his jumper last year with 09 i don't know about 10. 2k has been using the same animation from 2k7 to 2k9 then it got even worse with 2k10. Live has more accurate jumper animations, but 2k has better everyting else as far a gameplay goes but i think the race is a lil closer this year, can't wait to see what these two bring to the table next year.

1. The gather takes too long...and 2. His right leg usually kicks forward in real life, not straight like the "motion capture" version you are showing us, it's too stiff.

I feel you man.. coming from a ball player myself, I know they can do so much better.....on a side note, there's a difference between a jump shot and a set shot animation that they should employ to future games.

that wasnt the problem he was trying to bring out....its the fact that they dont start into their shot when they step back....they step back stop and shoot a normal shot so it takes real time off how quickly they would shoot it in real life
