I wouldnt like the plane flies 10.000 below the storm. Im happy my father was in the Boeing 737 and the plane was flying 40.000 Hight altitude. He saw the thunderstorm , orange, blue, yellow and white.

Amazing at what mother nature does! Can't mess wth her either! lol....I hate being in planes and I hate lightning storms, so this is death right here for me xD lol, But planes can't get hit by lightning becaus eof the rubber, and don't they have a certain type of metal, or something? idk, but I would be like terified haha! Must've been amaing to see though!

Modern planes are made out of a special carbon fiber so it doesn't conduct electricity like metal. Should lightning hit an aircraft (hardly ever happens), the plane would just get rid of it through the static dischargers.

a report directly from the FAA states that on average, an airliner can be expected to have been hit by lightning 1 time every year. it is however, discharged without harm (quite usually).
