  • Pharmacy Technician jobs are so hard to find and are always understaffed.

  • @TheNeptunePisces83 That's for darn sure :)

  • I am :-) training to be a tech :-) also anyway I hope I have better luck :-)then you my friend :-) oh it sounds :-) like the jobs not the bad part its the people not speaking English. :-) oh and did I mention :-) :-) :-)

  • oh my...what a mess! me no speaky your language! 0_0

    i used to work in a pet store..cleaning 30 birdcages,1 cage of 10 ferrets, and numerous rat,guinea pig,hamster cages--etc. every week

that is one of the world's "crappiest" jobs xD!

  • LOL that really doesn sound like a crappy job! Haha, have a great week, friend! :)

  • 1:38 and 1:43......HAHAHAHA hilarious

  • Glad you got a chuckle, Joe, and thanks! :)

  • Wow... I can related; however I havent had to deal with anyone that doesnt speak English.... I don't work in a retail pharmacy either, but I work with people and even those that speak English don't understand sometimes..... Have a great weekend Steve:) jackie

  • lol even those that speak English don't understand sometimes... I can relate to that as well! lol :)

  • Its a good thing I don't have your job, because I would just quit.

  • lol thanks George, have a great week! :)

  • I think you would be happier at the female pharmacy!! lol

  • You could be right! LOL

  • Only in Florida do pureblooded Umurikins have to learn 18 languages just to buy a loaf of bread. Or worse yet, hire someone to mow your lawn. It's like English is a secondary language here. Hello? Buenos dias? Buenos nachos? Saj Makanya? Schpreckin ze Deutch? Rarroo?

    Yeesh!

  • Hey man you make it sound like a fantastic job, meeting all those amazing people lol.

Great video man,if there was a smiling competition you win hand down buddy.

  • Thanks so much, Kel, have a super weekend! :)

  • The language barrier, bet you've had plenty of funny moments. Your job can't be that bad, look at how happy you are,....you must have a GREAT family life, cause you glow, Steve. Your personality brings a smile to my face when I watch you.

Has the pharmacy considered making up lists of 5 most frequently asked questions in different languages? When a customer comes in, you can pull out the paper and point to the question. (yes or no questions) a shake of the head will get your answer.

  • The problem is the rapid pace of a modern retail pharmacy, we are under so much pressure to fill as many prescriptions in as little time as possible that we lack the luxury of spending time with the individual customer. Quite honestly, Lisa, it's about greed, how many prescriptions can we fill, how much money can we make for the company, as quickly as possible. There's literally no time to consult a pamphlet, we're under intense pressure to sell these medicines as many and as fast as possible!

  • yeah that language barrier thing sucks. have you thought of making a card that says common questions and answers in the most common languages?

  • Well, Susan, we do have a pamphlet of common phrases in different languages, but the rapid pace of a retail pharmacy (everyone shows up at once, everyone wants to wait for their prescriptions, and there are long lines, as the phone rings incessantly and cars line up in the drive-thru) makes it impractical to stop and try to look things up with all those folks waiting. They get angry, having become accustomed to an "instant fast food" modern world and no one has the patience to wait! Sadly.

  • poor thing. hence why the vid went 3:18 over the time limit. I would hat that too.

  • no hell no i want to know what the change is

  • All will be revealed soon, Bryan :)

  • Oh are you near Mills Ave?

  • Nope

  • Cool video

  • Thanks very much :)

  • Mines pretty crappy as well even in the toliet some might say.

  • lol sorry to hear that, have a great weekend anyway! :)

  • lol thanks, Marco, I'm hoping for the best :)

  • At least your job to keep Lord Vecrom at bay , kicks ass ! :-)

  • lol I agree, that's a lotta fun! :)

  • That is a crappy job, but mine is crappier. I can't even talk about it in public. See how crappy that is? I can't do a ranting video about it, though I would love to. It's so crappy! Maybe I need to enter this contest?

  • LOL if it's that crappy, you should definitely enter the contest! Haha, have a great weekend, Adrian! :)

  • lol yeah that would be hard to deal with. Another reason why if you live here you should learn English.

  • lol it would definitely make my job much easier! Haha, thanks for stopping by, Chris! :)

  • I don't speak english , too cause I'm french ):-)

I could say "You give me the medicine!"...in one case , I don't take my neuroleptic pills):-).

  • This is why I farm. I understand dirt & it don't argue with you.(smile) Long, lonely, hours in the fields.(smile) Eating dust and sweating from the heat (smile) working from dark to dark(smile) and Sleeping like a baby!!! GREAT VIDEO Steve! I love it! Give me the medicine!!

  • LOL thanks Winston, great comment, have an excellent weekend, friend :)

  • lol I agree! :)

  • You should win.....

Great vid, funny, somehow I don't feel sorry for you though.......

    Insurance...wow...we just write our name....

  • lol thanks, I guess if one can still manage a smile, it must not be too terribly bad :)

  • lol, you must have a lot of angry customers! I hope you give them that big smile like you give us, that should make them happy. :)

  • I'm told to be "professional," and not go overboard, but sometimes that smile sneaks through lol Great to hear from you, squince! :)

  • working with the public is a real pain, but I beat that with the sheer bordom of cardboard packing inserts! You knowwhen you buy a box os like items, bottles of whisky, there is a partion between the bottles? Well, one of the jobs I had was making these from card with slits in them, and my job was to slot these together. All day! With no one to talk too!!! I really hated it & when I was paid off after 9 weeks, I was happy!!! Love from Scotland 5* for tash =)

  • LOL but ouch Paul that sounds like one heckuva tedious, monotonous job! Glad you survived to become the Royal Chef, now there's a vocation fit for a king! Or something like that. Haha, have a terrific weekend, friend! :)

  • lol funny how the mind works haha!! :)

  • I ♥my job

  • :) :) :)

  • Perhaps I should stay out of this one... Getting paid for what you know vice for doing anything might not be construed as crappy...

Just wait until you have the new government forms he he he he

  • No no no new government forms, yaaaahhhhh!!

Er, thanks for stopping by Stu, and have a terrific weekend and an excellent trip :)

  • Steve, you've broadened my perspective ... I've never really considered how tedious a pharmacist's job must be ... I know I'd be terrible at it! I'm glad to see your stache is coming back, I missed that little fella -- :D

  • Thanks, Liz, as always you're the greatest :)

  • there are many, many, many worse jobs...so, cheer up.

  • no job can any bad than my career..Im a Corp litigation Paralegal..So, on top of dealing with litigation, like drafting motions, preparing discovery (rogs) and legal coding, I have to deal with stuck up attorneys!!

  • I work at a pizza place and the worst I have is the occasional hispanic who doesn't speak any English. It's really tough if I have to call them for directions because they SAY Yes to any yes or no question you ask them.

If they come in to order they just usually point at what they want on the menu board.

  • lol at least you don't have to run the pizza through their insurance! haha, thanks for stopping by, friend! :)

  • Actually, it just sounds like you

    have the world's crappiest customers.

  • lol you could be right, Robert! ;)

  • i hope u past all your test.

  • Thanks so much, Joe. I think I'll be having some time to reacquaint myself with the guitar, in the very near future, so we'll say what happens. You're the greatest, friend, thanks for stopping by! :)
