actually im a 21 year old wrestler who works out 5 days a week and has a strict diet. im 6'1 225 pounds. You really shouldnt assume. And for all you people. the bible condemns drinking (getting drunk). drinking a glass of wine or whatever is fine, its actually good for you. but all you 18 year olds want to do is drink and get wasted. I shouldn't assume but have a drinking age as high as 21 makes teens want to drink even more. Every year over a thousand people under 21 die in America because of binge drinking behind close doors. If you bring it back in public settings 18 year olds would be more controlled and wouldn't feel the desire to go out and get trashed every night.

Im not sure how effective that would be. The drinking age where i live in Ontario is 19. Violence, drunk driving, public drunkness and all that other negative stuff that occurs when alcohol is abused has risen dramatically since the age was lowered to 19. I think the only way to fix the problem of alcohol abuse is to make the punishments harsh. Drunk driving = suspension of license for life. But im hardcore and hate Drinking and driving that much

There is only one logical answer, lower the age limit on drinking, its not fair on young people to have double-standards in my opinion, young people will get there hands on drink either way

The legal drinking age should be lowered to age 18. Statistics show that countries that have the LOWEST legal drinking age also have the lowest drinking and driving mortality rate. Sounds backwards doesnt it, but it is true. We would save lives if we lowered the legal drinking age to 18, or even 16.

Europe doesnt have a drinking age that exceeds 18, and their drinking is much more controlled because they are introduced to it at a young age so they dont abuse it to rebel, because its accepted.

I agree with your general point that the drinking age should be at 18, but if you're in the military you are allowed to drink when on base. So the whole military issue really can't be used for this argument anymore, but there are plenty of other good ones to use!

Looks like you are a conservative for the drinking age. To answer that question, for the most part, it is illegal to drink alcohol under 18, unless if there is parental presence of one who is under 21. Selling it to someone under 18 is illegal in just about every state. I do believe that the age should be higher because I watched this report on the mike and juliet show recently.

What? 18 is the legal adult age in the US. Many states, including mine (Connecticut) , had lower drinking ages until Ronald Reagan and MADD took away that state right.
