This is the most amazing thing I have ever listened to. This basically sums up the amazing message of Jesus' death. God is good. I am sometimes catching myself feeling quilty for what Jesus had to edure for me- for the world, but I also feel loved because without the cross we would all be going to hell. The cross alone is why he deserves ALL our praise. Thank you, Jesus!

Humans deal with shame, and unforgiveness all of the time. The part where the guard said "c'mon you criminal your free" and he couldn't move, spoke VOLUMES to me. We are free by the blood of Jesus, and sometimes we don't accept that freedom and forgiveness, because our shame, pride.....our flesh won't let us. But we need to remember we are FREE!!!!! Our shackles have been broken off, because our Father in Heave LOVES us despite our character defects. AMEN

Thanks for this video. I wonder if Barabbas ever realized just what he had been given: a second chance at life, a second chance at redemption. I wonder if he chose to live his life in praise of his Savior, Jesus Christ, or if he continued in his own pleasures in spite of the price paid for his life. I can only pray for me and my friends that we never live in spite of Christ's sacrifice, but that we live being defined by His life, sacrifice, and resurrection; knowing that we have been redeemed.

Thank you for that! I have never stopped to think about the grace that was extended to Barabbas in that moment. I have to say, other than Mel Gibson's portrayal, I don't think I've given Barabbas a second thought at all! I've always looked on to the forgiveness of the criminals on the cross. But truly, this is the grace of God. That man deserved justice and received grace. I deserve justice and have received grace. Praise God!!! Beautiful video. Thank you.

This is the video I watch when my faith is doubting. It helps me so much. It's what brought me to God. I feel so much better now that I have found him. My life was a complete wreck before I found God. I was into believing I wanted a Demon to be inside me. I wrote and cut the word or chinese symbol for Demon onto my body. Now that I know who God really is, and what He has done for us I feel like I can do anything and get through ANYTHING.

Wow, i just googled "Gospel of Barabbas" and was disappointed that there were no results that i was looking for.

One of the Gospels deemed 'inaccurate' by the Coucil of Nicea, there were few copies made but most were destroyed.

Barabbas apparently turned to God in his last moments before execution. It was written that he had no visions, but he promised in his prayers to become a better man, a man of faith.

-and God answered by releasing him from Execution, where he fulfilled his promise

Jesus, to Barabbas, was a savior. He preached about a Merciful God, an all loving God that loved someone that was as evil and as disgusting as he once was.

Barabbas saw Jesus as his miracle, and felt forever in debt to God for sacrificing his Son to keep him alive.
