Whoever wrote and compose the song did wonderfully with the lyrics and putting the song together, making it sound so sad and good at the same time. The boy added his beautiful vocals which made the song so unbelievably beautifully sad.
I carefully compared the "without overdub" clip with the broadcast version I watched in a chinese website (youku) and found no difference between them. I will do another check with software someday when I have time. I will tell you my result then. I did find that "his" voice in some clips are significantly different from others. hehe~

They replaced his voice with a boy named Baator's voice in the audition. It was positively identified by the choir they belong to and the company that produces the show. You can find his audition with his REAL voice on YouTube.
I like Baator's voice, but I prefer Uudam's version. I don't know why they would ever think of replacing it.

Who set Baator's audio version to this original video...? The song shouldn't sound like its an audio because the song got louder by the moment when it started and in the middle-end when the host said: "you don't need to know the words but you can feel it in the heart,"
I've been singing for 5 years and never seen such incident go this far with just this fake stuff. Must not ruin a child's dream just by putting the audio version on.

@Kalvinlo I fell in love with this boy and the song but wondered why his first round was so different from the final round. After researching, I learned that his singing of the first round was replaced with Bataar's (listen to watch?v=7ffYHEXra_Y&feature=related) in the televised version. They insulted these two boys. I keep watching this handsome young Mongolian boy sing this beautiful song about his mother, who he thinks about because he misses her (died in car accident). It was amazing performance, yet sad ... not a dried eyed person in the audience... I too, cried throughout the entire song. Uudam, you have captured every mother's heart!! @nancyang94 he was not lip singing, the producer dubbed it with different voice before posting it on you tube, yiou can watch him singing in his real/original voice posted by Poldi0206 or type this, Uudam huu (Mongolian) Original Voice, on task bar you can hear his original, someone tape this from a TV set, you can see the counter as it's being tape, but this just as good from what we are viewing now.

@einfachbybi, @einfachbybi, Uudam was really singing on this show and not lip syncing notice @ 6:58 that is his voice, but producer edited the video used Batoor's voice in the background while judges were talking to him or among themselves before putting it on you tube, in his other appearance or video you can hear his real voice.
@einfachbybi if there is some kind of cheating it's not from Uudamu, the producer of this show put Bataar voice over his to really draw more audiences and posted it on you tube. On other television show that he guested, they let him sing this song with his real voice, his 2nd and final round of of this show it was his voice, the producer of the show realized their mistake by putting someone voice over his on you tube.

Indeed, he isn't Uudam, but Prince Uudam of Inner Mongolia, a lion-hearted prince who sheds not the tears of the weak. This is how I shall raise any future sons I may have! Crying, and showing emotions is for little girls, lol!

But I will, and I mean hundreds if possible, because in my country we can marry five wives, and in the social structure of my country, a man from a distinguished family can have unlimited amounts of concubines. @alaf1990 someone posted previously saying that in mongolian culture men don't show their tears. It's not uncommon to have that in any culture if you think about it.

This boy's singing melted my heard, he's so adorable, calm and handsome. I know his parents heard every word he sang, what an incredibly voice and a touching song. I hope he feels the love of all moms and fathers in the world. I want to give him a hug too.

@alaf1990 someone posted previously saying that in mongolian culture men don't show their tears. It's not uncommon to have that in any culture if you think about it.

Mongolian language is very beautiful along with all those central asian languages. i like their kind of lifestyle.Free, peaceful and simple. You can also see how level-headed he is for a young boy as compared to city grown kids(not all but most)...amazing...
