So many memories of playing ff Vlll, battling Ifrit,Diablos,Seifer,Bahamut, etc. Those times games were great but with bad gaphics, while now day is vice versa.
@Arcona Yes, it's not a NES but it's a different console called the MSX which uses the same 8bit processor as a Gameboy. Reason why it sounds like it does is that he most likely used GSXCC. STill 8Bit though.
The monster is Omega. Omega was a dark silver and a real pain in the ass to beat. Ultima was black with a blueish hue, had slightly larger wings and carried Cloud's Ultima Weapon. They tried to make FF8 Ultima Weapon look like FF7 Ultima Weapon as much as possible. Hopefully that clears up all the questions about the monster.
The NES/Famicom would probably not be able to emulate this sound but its defenitly in 8-bit maybe an 8-bit console with more features and sound channels....
If it was on Famicom and the cartridge used vrc7 (like the Japanese version of Castlevania III, for example) it just might be able to, since that allows additional sound channels besides the standard 5 (By default, you only get Pulse 1, Pulse 2, Triangle, Noise, and PCM, but vrc7 allows 4 more pulse channels, another triangle, and a few other things that I forgot)
