  • so many memories of me playing ffvlll,Ifrit,Diablos,Ceifer, etc.

  • 8 bit? these are just midi's... 8 bit should actually sound like nes music...

  • @Arcona Yes, it's not a NES but it's a different console called the MSX which uses the same 8bit processor as a Gameboy. Reason why it sounds like it does is that he most likely used GSXCC. STill 8Bit though.

  • The monster is Omega. Omega was a dark silver and a real pain in the ass to beat. Ultima was black with a blueish hue, had slightly larger wings and carried Cloud's Ultima Weapon. They tried to make FF8 Ultima Weapon look like FF7 Ultima Weapon as much as possible. Hopefully that clears up all the questions about the monster.

  • wasnt ultima purple-like? instead of blueish?

  • No they looked like that if you used meltdown on either of them

  • i googled "ultima weapons ff8 "

and it showed me purple versions ;P

  • Excellent... :)

  • OMG ULTIMA WEAPON!!!

  • No thats Omega Weapon but close enough.

  • Hahaha, almost got it, its omega

  • The NES/Famicom would probably not be able to emulate this sound but its defenitly in 8-bit maybe an 8-bit console with more features and sound channels....

  • If it was on Famicom and the cartridge used vrc7 (like the Japanese version of Castlevania III, for example) it just might be able to, since that allows additional sound channels besides the standard 5 (By default, you only get Pulse 1, Pulse 2, Triangle, Noise, and PCM, but vrc7 allows 4 more pulse channels, another triangle, and a few other things that I forgot)

  • Cheers mate. Could you also do the ff9 normal boss theme and the ff9 final boss them for me?

  • Hi! Look at "FF IX boss battle theme - FAMICOM (8-bit) version" and "FF IX last boss theme/Necron theme- FAMICOM (8-bit) version"!

    Yours Ifrit Engen!

  • Dark Messenger and The Extreme would be good if you haven't done them, but this song rocks.

  • -Edit- OK, Converting those two midis! Wait ~30 minutes [cough, cough]!

    Yours Ifrit Engen!

  • Added! Look at: "The Dark Messenger Theme - FAMICOM (8-bit) version" and "FF VIII The Extreme Theme - FAMICOM (8-bit) version"!
