I would love to agree with you, but I can't. When I read the Bible, I see verses like John 3:36 where God's wrath is on the sinner, not the sin. Psalm 5:5 - "You hate all who do wrong." The problem is not with God, it is with our understanding of the word "hate." When we say God "hates," we think of our human, self-centered hate. However, God's hate is simply the reaction of a holy, perfect, and righteous God against rebellious, sinful man.
You can dislike Obama (or anyone), but spouting hateful words is going to nothing. Jesus would not handle the situation like this. God hates the evil things people do, but He doesn't hate the people themselves. His is more hurt than anything else when people do bad things. If He hated the sinners so much, why did he send Christ to die for them (and everyone else)? If people do not "repent," then they will go to hell, that is their punishment. But God even then still cannot hate them because humans are his children, and it's ever so difficulty to hate one's own children.

I would love to agree with you, but I can't. When I read the Bible, I see verses like John 3:36 where God's wrath is on the sinner, not the sin. Psalm 5:5 - "You hate all who do wrong." The problem is not with God, it is with our understanding of the word "hate." When we say God "hates," we think of our human, self-centered hate. However, God's hate is simply the reaction of a holy, perfect, and righteous God against rebellious, sinful man.

In Psalm 5:5 King David is referring to the "you" as God, not humans because God is the one who judges the soul, NOT HUMANS! Same things goes for Psalm 11:5. Yes hate is mentioned in the bible many times, but love is mentioned more. I Corinthians 13:3 states that If I speak ... but have not love, I am only a ... clanging cymbal. I could go on with I Corinthians 13 that contradicts your entire message, but have limited space.
