This is what old school hip-hop, real gangsta rap did for basketball--every single thing these players was deliberate and meant something. Nobody coasted through games, nobody did these weak downward layup "dunks" they hung on the rim and made sure you knew that they just owned you. So many characters all at once, how many people in the NBA today do you wait for, bring friends over to watch? Lebron? Maybe Durant? It's not the same.

NBA is not what it used to be, now we have arrogant ultra rich supertars changing teams like they change their socks, and weak defenses (consequently : weak offenses, poor games) since the "no touch" rules. I mean see, I like Kobe but, I dont think he would have been able to score 81 in the 90's even in his prime.

Glad I was in the 90's era of the NBA I'm in Chicago so watching the bulls was a must and the NBA was so good to watch then that if the bulls didn't play that night you other good teams to watch and they would put on a show the 90's was great!

the 80's and 90's were both equally great. the 80's had guys like magic, bird, dr. j, moses malone, and isaiah thomas. the 90's was just more exciting with the bulls, sonics, jazz, pacers, hornets, pistons w/ grant hill, magic, suns, knicks, warriors, nuggets, and rockets.

Best 10 years of the NBA. It was dominated w/ amazing players. Many of those amazing players didn't get the rings they deserved cause of Jordan and his Bulls. Still, it was full of real drama. It's not filled w/ the media hype in today's game. The 90's was when a hard foul was a good foul.  If you weren't intense back then, GTFO. Players today won't last a real playoff series against theyse players in their prime. When real basketball like this returns, hit me up.
