the precreasing was from his making it before. he unfolded the paper and showed you have to do it. I think he just unfolded and played the movie in reverse =P

it's a water base. fold two diagonals, collapse, make remaining creases by folding sides. tahdaaaah!

the creases you made beforehand made a triangle shape. fold out the triangle shape. dunno how else to explain it.
