nope.......if this really is the no life til leather demo, its ron mcgovney on bass...not cliff......although cliff was already in metallica by the time the demo was released, the tracks were recorded with ron before he left....it actually says on the tape that cliff doesnt play on the recording...

Actually the line-up here is James/Dave/Cliff/Lars. The reason James sings like that is he was trying to sound like Sean Harris from Diamond Head (one of the bands that majorly influenced Metallica). And that's why it's slower than the Kill 'Em All version - imagine that screamless singing with the trash speed of the album version... :D

@uniginich Wrong, the line up is James, Dave, Lars, and Ron. Ron left shortly after the release, and Metallica credited Cliff to it. But if you listen closely to the bass you can tell it's obviously not Cliff, there's no distortion, and there isn't that high-pitched sound of Cliff's Rickenbacker 4001.

@ecnaurps It's Mustaine this demo was released in 1982, and if you listen to both Kill em' all and no life till leather the solos sound similar. This is due to the fact that they had Hammett mimic Mustaines solos as much as possible however, they changed it where they needed it. I don't like Mustaines solo that much in this demo of seek and destroy but on all the other songs they're clean. But yeah dude it's Mustaine his playing became aggressive after Metallica.
