@Johanaabye Danes have much to be proud of. Denmark is a beautiful country filled with wonderful people. Kessler is a world class fighter who accomplished a lot in the sport...but...he simply couldn't handle Ward that night. Ward completely dominated Kessler from the opening round. Kessler was badly beaten for 9 rounds, cut up and appeared to be on the verge of getting KO'd. Be glad for the headbutt in the 10th...it kept Kessler from finishing the fight on his back.
@ebandd couldn't have said it better. i lived in denmark for 5 years and met kessler at a promo at 'jack and jones', holstebro. terrific people, terrific country and kessler is a god there. but he lost this fight to a better fighter and all the cries of foul can't detract from the fact that ward was too much for him.

I expected Kessler to win & win big. Ward fought a good fight. I was surprised Kessler had no inside fight game. He said the better man won. He had a point to make about the butts & holding /hitting. Al Bernstein noted it during the fight. I don't think it would have mattered much that night. Ward was beating him to the punch. Kessler was hesitating. Still Ward wanted nothing to do with toe to toe exchanges. Eyebrow cuts were headbutts. Ward looked good. Probably a rematch later.

Based on current form I would agree. My gut is telling me maybe Kessler would beat Froch as a reaction to the shock he must be feeling after his Ward loss, but at the same time Froch knows he has to answer alot of questions after his last fight. So I guess you are correct, a toss up.

he didn't headbutt him in the later rounds he was hurting kessler in the later rounds. a head butt came in round 7 or 8 from him jumping in. he wasn't looking and it hit kessler which kessler was OVERLY dramatic about it trying to get the ref to take a point or stop the fight because he had already made up his mind that he wasn't gonna beat ward. ward was way too much. even kesslers trainer had enough of him crying, telling him to shut up and FIGHT & there is hardly any cuts there.

YOU CAN'T LIE ANYMORE. 1 head butt came in the 8th round and a 2nd one came in the 10 round (fact) by that time ward had already destroyed kessler so even if the fight was stopped in the 8th kessler would have still easily lost a decision. kessler also got a bump under his right eye but that one was from a right hand. which ward opened it into a cut from another right hand.

Pavlik Couldnt live with B Hop, he only fought Taylor who was anyone, but as we all know Taylor got stamina problems. If Pavlik came up against Abrahams or Kessler he would be embarrassed

Hopkins would kill any shape or form of Pavlik, do you know about B-Hop he is one of the best boxers of the past ten years, the only good fighter Pavlik beat is Taylor, Pavlik is not an elite fighter, that some of his fans think he is, he was way out of his depth against B Hop, if hed of fought Calzaghe, he wouldnt have won a single round. Boxing is not just about knockouts and power, its about skill and movement, something that Kelly Pavlik lacks.
