You don't need to install this, honestly. This is built into Windows. Go into Local Security Policy, Local Policies, and scroll down to change the behavior of UAC in Admin Approval Mode. Turn it to Elevate w/out Prompting. Done.
Can someone please provide me with step-by-step- instructions on how to silent UAC, so that it doesn't ask me for the admin's password for commands on a standard user's account?
Let me note again that this is done under a standard user. I then tried the Norton UAC program, installed it with the help of my dad typing in the admin password, and finished. The shortcut didn't appear on my desktop, and I can't find a way to access the screen where it asks me to put UAC in silent mode. YET AGAIN, I installed it with my dad putting in the admin password, unchecked the box this time, (not exactly sure if it's important or not) and installed it. Still nothing.
I am a standard user on my computer with Windows Vista, and trying both programs I've encountered numerous problems. Right now I am simply trying to get an MMORPG client to run without having to ask for administrator's permission to continue.
I promptly asked my dad to install TweakUAC. I installed it, checked off quiet mode, and exited the program. I tried running the MMORPG client, it still asks for the administrator's password. Please help.
hey, i have same problem as yours... my net user is on Standard... and it asks password which i don't know... the GlobeAV is the one asking password.. have you find a solution mate?? plz share it with me....

The Norton UAC is actually better, as it has the Remember checkbox.
