I have windows 7 and all the problems that vista has is gone but finding drivers sucks because its new.

All windows 7 is a service pack update for vista. Ill stay with vista for now until drivers and game compat works right.

Boot from the Disc at windows startup, you can do this by pressing F2 or F12 depending on the computer you have and can change the 'Boot Sequence' and select it to boot from CD/DVD drive before the SATA HDD! You should boot like this because you can then edit partitions and format your existing Hard drive, as you can't do this when you run the setup from the desktop when logged in!

Insert the Vista Ultimate disc while running Vista Basic, you should see a window pop up asking you if you want to install Vista Ultimate .You should choose yes, you will then get a window asking you if you want the upgrade or the clean installation click on upgrade only. It will now upgrade you to Vista Ultimate and you will yet have all your previous files. They will be located in a folder called [windows.old], it should be located in your local disc.

what's wrong vith vista EXCEPt it needs lots of RAM? I know, but when you do have RAM (at least 3 or 4GB), then vista beats XP even in gaming, trust me.

And the only thing I found not working on vista is Warcraft II (non BNE version) and older versions of Alcohol 120% (destroys vista)

yeah cause the AERO Effect takes up RAM and it slows it down. Just disable it and try playing games. And maybe it's your GRAPHICS card

Well, there is no difference, only a few extras. i.e. With vista ultimate you can switch to another language, for instance if your native language is frenc and the OS is in English, you can switch it to French. Thats it.
