@xUncleA123x Indeed she is saying "sing" instead of "singt", because she is singing to the Nightingale. She is asking the Nightingale to sing, which means the Nightingale is 2. person singular. Hence the correct form of the word "singen" in German would be "singe" (Imperative), but for the lyrical sake it sounds better as "sing". I hope I could help and not increase your confusion :)
@sunshineinyoureyes03: The name of that soap opera is called "Alles Was Zahlt". However, I am now too lazy to follow the storyline. LOL
I am not patient enough to watch a show which will consists of more than 1000 episodes. But thanks to that, I am able to listen to German language because I am always surrouned by Spanish in the U.S. The chance to meet a German speaker is very rare.
BTW, thank you.
I think the meaning of this song in all languages is the same. ^_^
OMG she sound so beautiful. I love the dutch version to. But this voice has something special. The sound of her voice is really beautiful. so i love the dutch and german version on number ONE
@sunshineinyoureyes03: Well, I watched a German soap opear on YouTube with English subtitles and I have to say that German is a beautiful language in term of intonation.
German and French language are very euphonious to my ear and I would like to learn them someday. Spanish language sometimes sounds so hasty and annoying to me . No offense but this is my opinion.
Therefore, the answer is yes. I like this German version although I cannot understand a single word. ^ O ^
@cbrun67176 Actually, Lucifer and Satan are 2 different people. I used to think they were the same, but I looked it up, and it even says in the bible that they're not. Strange...
That desing (1600 - 1700) fits with german language. Its just so classic, stunning and mild (Curled wood details in furniture and classic tapestry) Germany is so classic country.
The actress, who spoke the stepmother, is Friedel Schuster. LoL - there is a clip at youtube with her. She really was a opera singer - but when hearing her, I always see the stepmother.
The german actors in the old Disney dubbings are very good! Shame on Disney that they have redubbed Snow white, Pinocchio, Bambi, Dumbo, Lady and the tramp and The little mermaid!!!!
Oh sing doch Nachtigall, sing doch Nachtigall... Aaaaaaah (...) Oh flieg, flieg, Nachtigall, flieg, flieg in die Welt. Oh sing doch, Nachtigall, sing. Oh sing, sing, Nachtigall, sing. Oh flieg, flieg, Nachtigall in die Welt. Ohh flieg... - LUZIFER!

Do you remember wanting to run through the plains of Africa with Simba?
Swing through the jungle with Tarzan?
Go to the enchanted castle with Belle?
Go to the ball with Cinderella?
Ride a magic carpet with Aladdin?
Save China with Mulan?
Shrink to toy size to play with Buzz and Woody?
Turn into mer-people and go under the sea with Ariel?
If you do or want Disney to bring back movies like this re-post, this note maybe the Disney Corporation will see it and get their heads on straight

Different versions of Cinderella recorded in different languages are unique in their own ways. Stop saying which one is better than one another.
I prefer the English version because I don't speak German. Still, this version is beautiful in a very German way.
