It's like calculus in a sense that there is so much scientific and mathematical proof favoring atheism over God, and yet there is still that small hole that hinders any logical conclusion. Because neither party can be backed by logical fact, being an agnosticism is the best route to take, because there's still that minuscule possibility that there really is a God.

You can list as many of those numbers as you want, and they are unchangeable (because they're fact). However, regardless of how many millions of numbers you find in that sequence (and yes billions, maybe trillions, of numbers in the pi sequence have been recorded) you will eventually have to submit to the fact that the number is infinite and indefinite.

Using limits (in calculus, for example) gives definite or conclusive answers through rigourously employing the mathematical concept of infinity. Because neither party can be backed by logical fact, being an agnosticism is the best route to take, because there's still that minuscule possibility that there really is a God.

@macfcam because calculus is used to stretch and measure limits. Think of it like a number with an infinite decimal value (like pi). You can list as many of those numbers as you want, and they are unchangeable (because they're fact). However, regardless of how many millions of numbers you find in that sequence (and yes billions, maybe trillions, of numbers in the pi sequence have been recorded) you will eventually have to submit to the fact that the number is infinite and indefinite.

To be technical: there is evidence that corroborates scientific theory and there is none that corroborates the theory that god exists (if we ignore anecdotal evidence). A proof is absolute and once completed its conclusion is forever guaranteed. If treated as a scientific theory then God fails either because it is not corroborated (like the luminiferous aether) or because it makes no novel predictions.

You could say that we have disproved that there are finitely many prime numbers or that we have proved that there are infinitely many - it's the same thing. Any proof is a disproof of its negation. The reason you cannot demonstrate the non-existence of God is that there is no conceivable evidence that would convince theists - it is unassailable. The burden is then on the believer to provide corroborating evidence and novel predictions.

No, Obama wasn't an executive, he was a senator. He also didn't quit a couple of months after he got voted in- like Palin. It's a good thing she didn't make vice president before she decided she couldn't handle it. She knows (probably because someone told her) that the only chance she has is to go with what conservatives like best; celebrates. Ronald Reagan (the great debt-bringer), Fred Thompson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Donald Trump... the list goes on and on.

There is plenty of evidence that the founders of the United States had no intention in bringing god into any aspect of government. In other words, the first amendment states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof [....]". Palins and Becks ignorance of that will not turn the United States into a Christian nation (or any other religion in fact)

The God people are the Scariest peoples in America & The World! And the DUMBEST! In the 70s I'd walk into a Book store & ask for books on Dinosaurs, & They'd point me to the Children section! Where they had Cartoon Books, Paper Thin! I surmised that if I had asked for Books on Religion, they'd have them all over the store! As Thick as the store Bonded in Silver & Gold! Nobody knew about Dinosaurs in the 70s! Except Carl Sagan!
