what gives people the right to slag off our army i took a bullet ten years ago in the leg served with the wing in east timor and am now back in the leb i have one thing to say that any army man should understand fox trot oscar

Irish Army is one of the world's few professional armies and are some of the best trained troops in the world. We don't have many soldiers at all but we can kick some ass with the little we have. I'm not saying we'd win in a war with Britain or anything, they'd beat us hands down because of sheer man power, but we'd give them a run for their money I'd say, much more than most people would expect.

I'm American so I don't really know that much about the Irish Defense Forces nor do I really want to but I think Irish Army Rangers operate currently in Afghanistan. I don't know if they're in Iraq but I know the Irish Rangers are in Afghanistan.

The Irish Rangers were in Iraq & Afghan but their a British Regiment made up of British lads mostly from Northern Ireland with a few English Scots and republican Irish lads that want to see some action instead of staying in Ireland doing very little in there Army other than minding grain for UN abroad.

I've served in Iraq myself and can tell you the Irish Army have never been in Iraq or Afghan.
