I can hold my cats cradled in one arm while giving them oral medicine or supplements with the other. I have a video showing me doing it on my channel.
The people who post these videos find the calmest cats to participate! I wish mine didn't fight or claw or shake their heads or froth out the liquid meds... - sigh- Must be nice!
@annersbananers thats very true. my cat didn't let me give him all of his full dose at once but everytime i squirted a little in and he would pull away id tell him to come back and he would walk right back to me and take the next little squirt over and over.
Aw, what a lovely, calm, quick technique shown with a well-behaved kitty who takes her medicine like a good girl. Now try filming this video with ONE person and an 18 pound tank who fights you the whole time. That "simply grab him by the scruff" technique doesn't work.
@Mavrilon hell no it ain't I agree. one of our cats had bowl problems and they were too smart to eat the food with medicine we put in it. we had to chase into a corner with towels in our hands and then pin her down. she tries to go bezerk! or at least she tried to. I had to hold all of her legs and pin her head down so she wouldn't spit it out and run in a corner. very stressful!

That is the calmest cat I have ever seen. They should demonstrate that with a big cat that goes insane.

Of course its easy to give a cat medicine if you have someone there to hold the cat while your doing it!
I have to give my cat liquid medicine daily for feline herpes and it's not the piece of cake you depict here.

its better to hold the cat on your lap like a baby cradle and give the medication, when i did it this way she got very mad and ran and hid.
