blackdyke - don't blame the US if you don't like the sound. Half the players were English and used to top section contesting. The principal cornet is Steve Chapman of Wantage, a player with a lovely sweet cornet sound.
It's not the most polished performance, but that's what you get on limited rehearsal time and an evening where it's freezing, windy, and pissing down with rain... There are US bands out there that put many UK bands to shame - and Chicago is one of them.

Kinda sounds a bit American at 3.58 onwards, US bands don't really get that sweet English sound!
Even the cornet solo in the middle.
