Hello my darling, I am a woman in my early 30s who is about to embark on a full-time vintage pin-up transformation, from victory rolls to pencil skirts. I found your blog and plan to read it!! Can you tell me what to expect from society, and from women & men! Thank you ever so kindly
I've been having difficulty finding a red that's not too crazy...many of them are too orange or too pink or too.....GLOWING! So now I think I'll head out to MAC and have a look, since you recommend them. I don't think Ruby Woo is for me, unfortunately, but maybe they have something good?
So enjoyed this and learnt a lot. You're a Ruby Woo girl? I like Viva Glam 1, but recently had my head turned by Mac Cruella l/s in Heartless. You'd love that, just subbed, you're great! P.S. The bit about your mum made me laugh, I get comments like that!
Oh gosh, I do love you Fleur! I have been awaiting a new video from you! This is delightful, I just love your authentic style and I hope you consider making more videos soon. ~Brooke.
great tutorial! i typically do 1950's makeup (although i'm not a vintage gal, i just do the simple "cosmetic" look of that decade) but i'm always looking for more vintage things to try :]
Quick question - what eyeshadows are you wearing? I've run out of my usual shades from my coastal scents palette and I am loathe to replace the whole thing just for two pots :)
Yes, that Prep and Prime for lips is very good, it really makes a difference. I am quite surprised by that red lipliner, it seems pretty good! I want one! Oh, no I shouldn't, but it looks as if it paints on its own... You have a very steady hand to draw them to perfection. I am glad to see you back.
very helpful! Could you explain the exact differences between 1930s, 40s and 50s lipshapes? There always seems to be a difference in shapes when you look at fotos or watch old movies, but I just can't point out what exactly is different.
oh and you mentioned Lucille Ball, I recently watched I love lucy and noticed her very overdrawn lips, they seemed to be extremely high in the corners. Was that tipical for the 1950s or was it just her? thanks!
@19myself91 Typically 30's lips were either thin with a very pointed shape at the bow or they were heart shaped. Fourties lips were a bit more voluptuous but still very defined...fifties focused more on the pout.
Corr! What was that opening music? Any chance of letting me know the title and band??

May I ask what foundation you are wearing? I have very fair skin as well and I always have trouble finding the right type and shade.

I'm interested in trying a MAC red...my current faves are Besame' and Julie Hewett reds. Would you recommend Ruby Woo over any other MAC red?
