  • Corr! What was that opening music? Any chance of letting me know the title and band??

  • I love all ur videos :)

  • Absolutely stunning and extremely GORGEOUS!!

  • Hello my darling, I am a woman in my early 30s who is about to embark on a full-time vintage pin-up transformation, from victory rolls to pencil skirts. I found your blog and plan to read it!! Can you tell me what to expect from society, and from women & men! Thank you ever so kindly

  • May I ask what foundation you are wearing? I have very fair skin as well and I always have trouble finding the right type and shade.

  • I love your blog!

  • Thanks for the tips... I can DEFINITELY use them! You have the most beautiful cheek bones btw! ;)

  • I like your eyes.

    Do a tutorial on that!

    :D

  • Gorgeous, I love it!

  • Fleur did you say what lip liner you're using here? Thanks sweetie.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet This may be late...it was Cherry from MAC.

  • what face foundation and/or powder do you use? i love your look alot you look awesome

  • I'm interested in trying a MAC red...my current faves are Besame' and Julie Hewett reds. Would you recommend Ruby Woo over any other MAC red?

  • I've been having difficulty finding a red that's not too crazy...many of them are too orange or too pink or too.....GLOWING! So now I think I'll head out to MAC and have a look, since you recommend them. I don't think Ruby Woo is for me, unfortunately, but maybe they have something good?

  • Very informative! Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Lovely tutorials. You are utterly beautiful. Could you consider other make up tutorials, maybe forties eyes?

  • I'm a yank, who would deffently go to war if Flur was my nurse!

  • I would love to see you do a demonstration of how you do your eye make up particularly the eyeliner

  • So enjoyed this and learnt a lot. You're a Ruby Woo girl? I like Viva Glam 1, but recently had my head turned by Mac Cruella l/s in Heartless. You'd love that, just subbed, you're great! P.S. The bit about your mum made me laugh, I get comments like that!

  • Fab video Fleur, lovely to see a tutorial from you again x

  • What a cute trick not to get lipstick on your teeth. I am definitely gonna have to try that. :D Thanks for the post.

  • Wow,,classic 40's look and you look so beautiful.I love how u do your eyes. Thanks so much for the tip.

  • great tutorial! i typically do 1950's makeup (although i'm not a vintage gal, i just do the simple "cosmetic" look of that decade) but i'm always looking for more vintage things to try :]

  • lol "my mom hates it"

my mom also hates when I style my hair in a 1940's fashion

would you do a video on your skin care and foundation routine please?

  • Please do more tutorials :)

  • I too am running low on my Ruby Woo I need to reload!

  • Quick question - what eyeshadows are you wearing? I've run out of my usual shades from my coastal scents palette and I am loathe to replace the whole thing just for two pots :)

  • @GinPrincess3931 I'm wearing MAC Mylar on the whole lid and Corduroy in the crease! :)

  • I might try MAC when my Besame runs out. I'll miss it when it's gone though :'(

  • I'm so glad you've posted a new video - I found out about your blog through YouTube so I love to see videos from you!

  • Yes, that Prep and Prime for lips is very good, it really makes a difference. I am quite surprised by that red lipliner, it seems pretty good! I want one! Oh, no I shouldn't, but it looks as if it paints on its own... You have a very steady hand to draw them to perfection. I am glad to see you back.

  • Brilliant you're back! Loved this tut. XXX

  • Lovely!!! I'm so glad your back and making videos! :)

  • very helpful! Could you explain the exact differences between 1930s, 40s and 50s lipshapes? There always seems to be a difference in shapes when you look at fotos or watch old movies, but I just can't point out what exactly is different.

oh and you mentioned Lucille Ball, I recently watched I love lucy and noticed her very overdrawn lips, they seemed to be extremely high in the corners. Was that tipical for the 1950s or was it just her? thanks!

  • @19myself91 I'm not really an expert, I'm afraid! This is a good guide for 20s-40s though!

  • @19myself91 Typically 30's lips were either thin with a very pointed shape at the bow or they were heart shaped. Fourties lips were a bit more voluptuous but still very defined...fifties focused more on the pout.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet thank you ashley! but you really are an expert, no matter where your knowledge comes from :)

  • @19myself91 but I'm not an expert either! LOL...all I know, I learned from the movies!! :)

  • You are so beautiful!

  • hurray! She's back! Now eye make up please!

  • ooh very helpful, thank you.

i just bought 'russian red' - my first mac lippy

  • @missivonmcgowan I like Russian Red and it's not as dry as Ruby Woo - I need to replace my long-ago run out tube!

  • @diaryofavintagegirl That rhymed:D

  • Lovely to have you back! Favorited...:)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet :D You're quick - I forgot I'd need to check back and press 'save changes' - all done now :) x

  • @diaryofavintagegirl yes, arent you glad I didnt type 'first' as my comment? I hate when people do that! LOL
